Okay, as part of that "illusion" he was calling Joke on the phone and Joke talked to these people for extended periods of time. In other cases, he had lunch or dinner with them. Was that all an "illusion" too? Seems to me, at this point, Joke clearly and deliberately lied about his knowledge and the extent of his participation in his son's business dealings. Joke's staunchest defenders have changed their tune from "He had no knowledge of, or participation in," to "Well, these calls and meetings were just harmless things in the course of normal VP goings on. They talked about the weather or something. Nothing to it."
Well, there is something to it. Joke clearly and unequivocally has been totally lying his ass off about not having any knowledge of, never had spoken to, etc., about his son's business dealings. He was involved. Even the staunchest defenders of him are admitting it. Now they're trying to run damage control for Joke because they can see the train wreck coming.
The next step is to determine not whether Joke was involved. That's done and proved. Now it's about the extent of his involvement, and that ain't gonna be pretty...
