leprosy now in texas

Leprosy is a curable condition. Oddly one of the known causes would be eating armadillo meat... something that may have happened in Texas before even without illegal migrations...

They are wrong to do so. Still, despite all the Trumpian whining, Trump and Trump's Congress never pushed for Immigration Reform to fix this problem.

Even GW Bush wanted immigration reform, but his own party shot him down. Why? Because there's more profit in the status quo.
Actually, it lands in the lap of Boehner. And then Ryan. They both knew the bipartisan Senate bill would pass, and neither would hand Obama the win.

Idiot. Armadillos are from this nation.

Are they? Or, are they an Alien plot?

Idiot. At least you could actually check some FACTS first. The Democrats have proposed amnesty ever since Reagan caved and did it. That convinced everybody but the OPEN BORDERS Left, now the mainstream Democrat party, that amnesty was DOA.

What's selective is how you run from the fact Republicans are against Immigration Reform. I've conceded that the Democrats ask for too much, but that's the whole point of negotiations. The Republicans have refused to negotiate on this matter since GW.
A miracle given the midterms.

In 2013, a bipartisan Gang of 8 senators introduced the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act. This was a comprehensive immigration reform bill.
It passed the Senate 68-32 in June 2013, but was never introduced in the House. (A bill based on the Senate bill was introduced by House Democrats in October 2013, but never acted upon.)

There are no facts in your links. Stop swimming in the swamp

Both want too much. You can't figure that out. But I'd rather have strict enforcement against illegal immigration given the choice. Right now, roughly a third of all federal inmates are illegals, most there not for an immigration charge but doing some other major crime while here illegally. That says "problem" to me.

IMO, like men and women, there's a dichotomic POV which must be both accepted and addressed. You want our nation to have a divorce. I think that is a very unrealistic idea.

Thanks for the link!

"Did the House take action on immigration in 2014?
No."

IIRC, it was 234 Republicans and 201 Democrats. Majority rules.
But it was a sole Republican who refused to bring it to the floor for a vote, for fear of passage.

They need a wedge issue.

Deport them all!

That's the common Trumpian rant but the fact remains big business interests which, like you, are anti-union, profit from illegals.

The reason the Republican Party doesn't want immigration reform is because they like the status quo.

They use illegals as a wedge issue with lies such as Trump's claim about 30M illegals voting for Hillary. As JPP proves, there are people stupid enough to believe that is true.

Regardless, the major donors to the Republican Party make a lot of money off illegals and don't want to change the system.

With the exception of California, it's the Red States which have the most illegals. It's the Red States that are "right to work", meaning anti-union. Coincidence? You decide. LOL

The bottom line is that the Trumper morons blame Democrats for illegals, but the truth is found by following the money.

Are you willing to raise taxes to pay for that? You are ignorant of immigrants as much as anything else. https://www.carnegie.org/our-work/article/15-myths-about-immigration-debunked/

I already pay taxes for that to be done, but it isn't happening because those in power don't want it done. As for you link to Carnegie, they conflate legal and illegal immigration in that article, a common practice on the Left to excuse illegal immigration. (from that article)

MYTH #1: “Immigrants will take American jobs, lower wages, and especially hurt the poor.”
FACT: Immigrants don’t take American jobs, lower wages, or push the poor out of the labor market.

Then who's jobs do they take? In construction, illegals depress wages significantly. If they didn't more Americans might be taking those jobs.

Nationally, foreign-born people make up 30% of construction workers, data from the Census Bureau shows, making immigrants a key part of the home building puzzle.

Note that NBC conflates legal and illegal immigration here.

Even NPR grudgingly admits it

It's all about the money. You support the corporations to break unions, ship jobs overseas and exploit illegals at home.

Follow the money here: who is making money off the illegals? When you figure that out, you will find out who is supporting the status quo.
