That's nothing but a demand for proof of a negative, a logical fallacy.

Republicans: We've given you all the stuff and evidence we have.

That's just using a demand for proof of a negative (a common version is demanding a religion produce proof of God and when they don't saying there is no god) as a red herring. After all, if there is more proof, don't the Democrats have the means to find and produce it in committee, or at least to the media? Why don't they just produce that evidence themselves?

It's the old say about lawyering:

When you have neither going for you, pound your shoe on the table and scream what a fraud the whole proceeding is.

All we have right now on this are Weiss' and the DOJ's verbal assurances of what they did and didn't do. There's no documentary evidence to support any of it--yet. What Raskin wants is to leave it were it is and have it go away. The reason for that is likely, like virtually everything else in this case, the truth when we get to see physical documents is that Weiss either was stonewalled by, or colluded with, the DOJ to sweep Bagman's plethora of known crimes under the rug.
