San Francisco once courted Twitter. Now it’s a headache.

Since Musk took ownership last October, the company formerly known as Twitter has been sued for failing to pay millions in rent and investigated for illegally converting offices into bunk rooms after Musk said he was sleeping on a couch on the seventh floor. Amid an exodus of tech employees from the city, Twitter has shed more than 80 percent of its workforce — essentially hollowing out its headquarters.

Meanwhile, Musk has hardly been a gracious neighbor. In viral tweets, he has derided San Francisco as a “derelict zombie apocalypse” and erroneously attributed the killing of a tech executive on a downtown street to rampant “violent crime in SF.”

Musk correctly defined that shithole

But yes, San Francisco is dying, it's projected to lose the highest percentage of population by 2030.

Down from 800,000 to 200,000 roughly.

On the good side, it will be far cheaper to live there then.

Question: A tech executive was brutally murdered on a downtown street there a short time ago. What would you attribute it to, a peaceful protest?

Twitter made 4.4 billion in 2022, I think they are doing fine.
Musk didn’t but it till 10-22. It’s reported X is losing revenue now.

Twitter is on track to make 3 billion this year, although it's a significant drop it is still a profit.

https://www.nytimes.com/2023/06/05/...nse, several large ad,it was a public company.

A profit of 3 billion is something most companies would love to have.
