Hunter is doing what children of important or wealthy people do. Daffy Donald just followed what his dad did and he was given almost a billion dollars. Ivanka, Eric, and Jr, trade on the father's name and money. Do Koch's kids use dads name to their advantage? I have no problem if Hunter used his dad's status in business. That is how it is done in America. It is not a crime either.

However, I am a lefty. If Joe was proven to have taken money illegally, I think he should be facing justice. I do not want him to get special treatment.
But unlike Trump, Joe has a longtime reputation as a fair and honest politician. He is also a real church-going Christian. Bribery would go against his being. trump has no such rep. He is been a law-breaking, regulation-busting crook his whole life. His stealing antiquities is just Trump being Trump. Same for stealing a truckload of classified documents for his own nefarious reasons. It is who he is.

So is Donnie Jr. I have a problem with all such behavior and low level of ethics. You don't see a difference between Paris Hilton going by her money name and Hunter going by his political name, but I see it as a lower level of ethics since it betrays a public trust. "Innocent until proven guilty" applies to both Democrats and Republicans as far as the law is concerned. IMO, Trump is guilty of treason. I have no doubt Hunter is guilty of more crimes than tax evasion and firearms violations. OTOH, I'm not a fucking lawyer nor is JPP a court of law.

My son knows a lot of guys in his building trade that have served time. One guy, he knows is in Jail now, because he struggled to put a roof over his head, and be able to feed himself, so he intentionally got himself thrown into jail just to make it through the tough times. He gets 3 squares a day, a Tablet with a phone in it, free internet, and a temperately comfortable jail cell- and he actually enjoys that kind of life. He says that is the only way to keep him off of drugs is to keep himself locked up!

He has a nice Harley Davidson that my Son and I are looking after while he is in jail, and he has a nice size Trust fund set up by his late Mother, that he has never even tapped into.
