Going on three weeks now with temperatures climbing daily into the hundreds

Got to wonder if some of those Fox watching Tucker loving good ole boys are starting to wonder if their favorite media icons might have been lying to them regarding man made climate change

Then again, nah, certainly Biden’s fault, Hunter, probably working with the Ghinese, is responsible, big Bobby Bolinski said it was on his laptop and they got whistleblowers to prove it, Sean told them

Climate change is basically local. If assholes like you stayed in your own states you fucked up instead of moving to others and fucking them up too, this would not be an issue. I think it should be a federal law if anyone sees a license plate from NY, CA or NJ in your state it is legal to shhot to kill. Self defense.

The point of the thread is the temperature changes are not local. They are the whole South and West. Many northern states have also busted records. The temperature extremes cause serious weather problems like tornados and violent rain storms. We have them too in the east. https://www.washingtonpost.com/weather/interactive/2023/heat-waves-map-us-tracker/ There are floods like never before.

It happens every year at this time

So what's the new date on all the ice melting?

You guys change it so often it's hard to keep up with.

Thre are reports that the ice has never been worse and as well that it is the best it has been in years......which means that somebody is lying.

Next Jan., we will have relentless cold waves spreading across the southern US…the northern US, too.

Climate change that has occurred largely due to human activity
clearly does not exist
according to most of those Southern voters currently frying in the heat.

The only explanation, therefore, must be "God's will."

Oh, for the good old days when a heat wave was just a heat wave ... and we just bitched about the hot weather.

Now the Democrats claim they can control the weather like some James Bondian villain and demand an enormous ransom.

"Droughts and heat waves were common in the 1930s. The 1930s (the Dust Bowl years) are remembered as the driest and warmest decade for the United States, and the summer of 1936 featured the most widespread and destructive heat wave to occur in the Americas in centuries."

1936 North American heat wave - Wikipedia

People sat on their front porches to cool off and the kids played in the sprinkler or found a pool to swim in. People don't know how good they have it since the invention of the Air Conditioner.

How do you explain this then, Boston Boi!!

During the 11 days, temperature records were set all over New England. In Boston, the temperature rose to 104° (40 °C) on July 4, an all-time record high that still stands today. A statewide all time heat record for Maine was set in Bridgton, at 105 °F (41 °C).

The 1911 Eastern North America heat wave was an 11-day severe heat wave that killed at least 380 people, though estimates have put the death toll as high as 2,000 people.[1] The heat wave began on July 4, 1911 and didn't cease until July 15.[2] In Nashua, New Hampshire, the temperature peaked at 106 °F (41 °C).[3] In New York City alone, 158 people and 600 horses died.[4][5]

Why would you ask me to explain it?
I'm not a meteorologist.

We've been having tons of rain more that oppressive heat here in Boston,
and if I'm too hot,
I just stay indoors in the air conditioning
and waste time with other idle people here on the shamelessly stupid internet.

First I've heard about the 1911 situation--thanks.

My parents were born in '18 and '19, I was born in '46,
and my grandparents, assuming they were already here,
never mentioned it to me.

Must have been a real bitch of a heatwave, though.

Some of us don't believe in man-caused climate change.
I do, absolutely, although I strongly suspect that it's too late to do anything about it now.
If humanity is fucked, we've had a good run. Nothing lasts forever.

Maybe we shouldn't sweat the big stuff either.

Somehow climate hasn't learned those boundary lines.

Science explains it as a one time localized phenomenon vs. a global trend. Large parts of South America, Europe and Asia are experiencing similar heat waves, as are the oceans, and it's a continuation of rising temperatures that have made the last ten years the warmest ten year period on record. Anyone with a halfway open mind should already know this.

It was, there were many years from 1910 to 1940 with incredibly hot weather. If you don't believe me then look it up for yourself.

Seriously do shut the fuck up, you're just embarrassing.
