The Humanities Are Worth Fighting For

I agree. In fact I recommended to two of my kids that they not attend college because all college was going to do was knock them off their path. One went to trade school, he's a mechanic now and the other worked with a contractor until he could test for his own licensure.

So they were too dumb to handle college.

So they were too dumb to handle college.

That's what they thought I was saying but the reality is they were too smart. And, for what they wanted to do college wasn't going to help them, it only would have slowed them down.

My auto mechanic son, who never went to college, had a three hour conversation with me earlier this year about Goethe. Could you do that? Don't bother answering that was a rhetorical question, I already know you can't do that...at least not without sounding like an idiot.

I read Goethe in college you lying piece of shit.

"They character assassinate but they will not engage" I saw someone say on Twitter today, which is right, which happens because someplace in their brains they do know that they suck.
