Fed-up Dem flees to GOP after her party 'crucified' her over key issue: They're 'abusing' Black voters

Mainor made clear that her work across party lines will continue after she switches parties, saying she has "never hesitated to work across the aisle to deliver results for my community and the people I was elected to represent. And that won't change."

Mainor said that she has "been met with much encouragement" amid her decision to switch parties and noted that it's "humbling to be embraced – for the first time in a long time – by individuals who don’t find fault in a black woman having a mind of her own and be willing to buck the party line."

Asked whether she believes she will face pushback from Democrats over her decision, Mainor said, "The most dangerous thing to the Democrat Party is a black person with a mind of their own. So, it wouldn’t surprise me."

As for her priorities after switching parties, Mainor said she will continue to focus on education and expanding the Republican majority in the House.

Mainor may not be very smart. And neither are school vouchers.

This was about her voting to support a $6500 school voucher program that was dead on arrival.

STOP AND THINK. DOES ANYONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND BELIEVE THAT THEY CAN EDUCATE YOUR CHILDREN IN A PRIVATE SCHOOL FOR $6500 dollars a year?

The average private school tuition in Georgia is $11,440 per year (2023). The private elementary school average tuition cost is $11,363 per year and the private high school average is $12,149 per year.

Most of these so-called SCHOOL Voucher programs are nothing more than SCAMS that are more about trying to skate away from paying their annual Real Estate Taxes, with the true intent to rob money from the local PUBLIC School district.

I mean, let's say you have a family of 4 children, and you qualified for 4 School vouchers at $6500, but yet your total annual real estate taxes on your homes was only $5,000.

Where does this money come from- IT DON'T GROW ON TREES!

NO MAM, it comes from robbing the Public School system of the money collected from real estate taxes collected in that school district!

FUCKING REPUBLICAN SCAM!

SO BU-BYE MAINOR- If you are stupid enough to fall for scams that do nothing but harm our public school systems- THE DEMOCRATS DON'T NEED YOU OR WANT YOU!
 
I don't have any problem with Private Schools.

It's a luxury, that if you can afford it, by all means put your kids where you feel they have their best shot!

But don't rob the Public School System to do it!

I swear, only Republitards could think of such a crazy self-centered half-baked reckless and irresponsible idea!

don't be an idiot......real estate taxes are collected to educate children......if the children are being educated in school A, why should the money go to school B.......only an idiot would think that is robbery.....
 
why do lib'ruls think women should be able to choose to kill their children but they don't think parents should be able to choose where they go to school?

I can't speak to her motivations for saying it the way she did but if she did it on purpose, it was probably to get a reaction from people like yours.

Dale Carnegie said it best, “A person's name is to him or her the sweetest and most important sound in any language.” We all the know feeling of importance when someone remembers our name when we don't expect them too. They talk about successful politicians having the ability to remember names for a reason.

So what's one of the 'best' ways to show disrespect? Fvck with someone's name. In this case it happens to be the name of a political party but same principle applies. How many times on this board have we seen people purposefully misspell the name of either political party or the President? It's a daily thing that happens repeatedly.

Again, why do so many do it? To get a reaction like yours because they know it pisses people off.

Naw, most people, especially conservatives, use it out of pure ignorance. They simply parrot what they hear from the Newt Gingriches and Rush Limbaughs of the world, who actually DO know better.

The rest are too fucking stupid to know any better. I’ve been down this road with more than one of the RW idiots on this forum, who STILL believe “Democrat Party” is actually the correct name.

Not much different than “I seen that” type ignorance.

I don't know how it works in other states, but here in Texas, the taxes that are collected in one school district are spent in that school district!

I don’t buy that but for the sake of discussion let’s say it’s true. If people found out they were using it wrong do you think they would say “I’m sorry Democrats, I didn’t mean to use it wrong and I’m sorry it upset you. I’ll make sure to not do it going forward”? Doubtful.

We’ve reached a point of polarization where a fair number of people don’t want to live around those who have different political views and some want them to die. Saying the name of a political party wrong is small potatoes but people know it gets under peoples skin so they do it.
