I had an uncle, dead now, who the family knew was molesting one of my cousins. My aunt (2nd, really my moms cousin) refused to take any action against her brother though EVERYONE knew. But the boy loved his uncle who molested him more than anyone else in the family, it was really odd. The boy grew up gay and died of AIDS at a young age. The uncle was eventually murdered at a gay bar by a jealous man.
Was he perfectly bad? I don't think so. But he did groom the boy to be gay, which led to the boys death.
