On Friday, the US confirmed it was sending the controversial weapons to Ukraine, with President Joe Biden calling it a "very difficult decision".

In response, the UK, Canada and Spain all pointed out that they were opposed to the use of the weapons.

Cluster bombs have been banned by more than 100 countries because of the danger they pose to civilians.

I am increasingly thinking that there is a cease and desist order coming to America from most of the world re our aggression in and destruction of Ukraine.

It is now clear that Russia is now making more arms than all of the West combined, and they are only at mid ramp up.

Ukraine has no strategic value to the American people,

Ukraine is not a democracy. No dissent is allowed by the midget dictator-in-chief there. He has outlawed any opposition voices and closed churches he doesn’t like. He has silenced radio and TV stations and any media who oppose him.

He is, like so many in charge in Ukraine, nothing but a ruthless mobster using stolen American taxpayer money to buy mansions in foreign countries and line his pockets.

He shares our money with corrupt American politicians and has them blackmailed so the U.S. is paying the entire cost of operating his corrupt bureaucracy.

Ukraine will not last a week when U.S. money is cut off.

Giving Ukraine cluster bombs is a good idea, what's been slowing down Ukraine's offensive is mine fields, the cluster bombs will clear a lot of the mine fields and Russian troops in trenches too?!! The trouble I have with Biden is, he to slow about giving Ukraine the weapons they want and need?!! They need the longer range rockets for their HIMARS systems too?!! Once those mine field have been taken out, then you will see Ukraine commit all of their weapons they got from the West into the offensive?!! Keep in mind we got a stockpile of cluster weapons but not a lot of artillery shells left without hurting our military readiness?!! The U.S. did not sign the cluster bomb ban either?!!

I firmly believe we should arm and assist Ukraine in their fight against the barbaric attack of Russia.

I don't believe giving them egregious weapons like this, which we ourselves have stopped using because of how egregious they are, is a good thing. Give them missile defense, basic arms, funds, hell, even tanks and drones. But not these monstrosities.

They are not going to cluster bomb mind fields that they want to go through.....that would be insane.....they are going to launch terror attacks on Russians......often civilians.
 
It is worth noting that these illegal in much of the world weapons of war are about 20 years old.

And that the Chinese are talking about this every day as they argue that America has to go.

We have abused our power.

We must be punished.

It won't make a scintilla of difference. Why? Because the Ukrainians are easily as incompetent as the Russians when it comes to warfighting. Giving rifles to cavemen doesn't suddenly mean that they will overpower another tribe of cavemen...

For it is not by the numbers of the combatants but by their orderly array and their bravery that prowess in war is wont to be measured...Procopius (a Roman writer on war)

We're wasting money supporting Ukraine.

The Russians are a well oiled machine....they would certainly kick our asses. As the Duran pointed out the other day the Russians have not even begun to do war, this is a special military operation....but Americas generals clearly have not the first fucking clue about war fighting....just listen to them.

No, it's clear that the Russian army is still a mediocre conscript one with mostly incompetent officers and poorly trained enlisted draftees. The only thing they have going for them is numbers. The Ukrainians are no better, and they lack the numbers.
