Democrats need to shift to economic class, away from identity politics.

I’d OK with only people with a family income of lease than 60 k get accepted to Harvard. It is time for poor kids to get accepted and rich kids get rejected

The problem with that is, the rich and the Harvard elite just go somewhere else and set up a new university for themselves and let the original turn into a community college.

Nope. They have a sense of history and know Harvard's name has a cache. They are legacies and Harvard.

They are in too deep to abandon identity politics at this point and if they tried it would be a disaster for them.

To switch to class based politics Democrats have to abandon their anti-working class bias ("deploreables") as seen in many JPP posts to more support for non-college graduates while not losing their support from college graduates.

Not only have they lost working class support but more recently have lost ground among working class minorities.

Right. And the overtly racist Trump and GOP will get the Black vote.

Those talking and running on the phony woke crap are Repubs. Desantis is all about it. Trump is too. Listen to Repubs campaigning. It is all woke all the time. They have no policies an the party has no platform.
