US attorney leading Hunter Biden probe breaks silence on claims investigation was 'influenced by politics'

The U.S. attorney in charge of the Hunter Biden investigation broke his silence Friday following explosive whistleblower allegations that his probe was "influenced by politics" and that he was "hamstrung" when making prosecutorial decisions, while denying Congress the records it requested for its oversight efforts.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan last month requested U.S. Attorney for the District of Delaware David Weiss turn over materials related to those allegations.

Weiss responded in a letter Friday evening, saying he is "not at liberty to provide the materials you seek."

"The whistleblowers’ allegations relate to a criminal investigation that is now being prosecuted in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware," wrote Weiss, who was appointed by former President Donald Trump. "At this juncture, I am required to protect confidential law enforcement information and deliberative communications related to the case."

"Thus, I will not provide specific information related to the Hunter Biden investigation at this time," Weiss wrote.......

NB4 But he is a Trump appointee . True but he is the AG for Delaware where Biden is king and the Bidens are royalty. And Hunter is a prince. When a President nominates a Federal AG for a state the nominee must first be approved by the two Democrat Biden sycophant Senators from that state. So it isn't like the AG from Delaware is a big Trump supporter. As far as the federal charges for Hunter goes and the investigation of Joe by extension. The fix is in.
 
The reds want Weiss to provide the evidence they accumulated. They are not allowed to do that. The court case is ongoing. Jordan wants to go through it and try and find something to use in public to harm the Bidens. It probably does not exist, but Jordan is a lying Trump suckup. After the trial ends, he will get what he wants.
 
I’m sure they already have enough to convict hunter and Joe but are just making sure everything can withstand scrutiny at this point.

THERE IS NO ONGOING COURT CASE FOR THE PRETRIAL DIVERSION AGREEMENT IN THE GUN CHARGES
 My wife was a Federal Court Reporter for the Chief Justice of the Northern District of Texas for more than 30 years. She has never even heard of a pre trial diversion of a gun crime. The fix is in.

One thing I'd note here is that Weiss was only officially appointed to office by Trump. He was the acting (unofficial but doing the work) US Attorney in Delaware from 2009 to 2011 under Barack Obama.

He was also an assistant US attorney in Delaware from 1986 to 1989 and returned to that position in 2007 before being promoted by Obama to acting US Attorney in 2009. So, he really isn't just some "Trump appointee." He's been in that position off an on since 1986.

Exactly, just as Comer wanted all the info the Justice Dept has collected on Biden to include even tips they investigated as bogus, it makes good headlines for Fox, and as “express” has shown, is quickly swallowed by the MAGA militia

But he was appointed by Trump, in other words, Trump approved of his appointment, and as we know, Trump does his best to appoint those that he is assured are going to tow his line

That is a fallacy of division. You don't know for sure why Trump appointed him, and it's clear that Trump doesn't always appoint those that will "tow (sic) his line." A good example of an appointment that didn't is Wray as head of the FBI. For all we know he was appointed simply because he'd already been in that position for something like 6+ years so he would have experience.

It's also abundantly clear that Trump didn't appoint him to get Hunter Biden specifically. On the whole, you are simply projecting your own hate of Trump onto this appointment.

The case is going to court on July 26, if no delays. It is not a gun crime. It is a gun registration crime.

NOT FOR THE GUN CHARGES. NOT THE PRETRIAL DIVERSION that is an agreement with the DOJ and Hunter will never be indicted for the Felony if he keeps his nose clean for two years (literally).. If he does that he will never see a courtroom for his gun charges . Poof it just go away.

Make no mistake that is a gun crime. Hunter can't own a gun. Just like a felon cannot own a gun. They are both gun crimes. Just like being a straw purchaser is a gun crime. Just like having a machine gun without a stamp is a gun crime.
