What happened to Hope Witsell

>:yay:

I said I blamed her parents the most.

It is in the end the parents job to teach a child how to rise out of the problems you have created for yourself as well as How to honor your own worth.

These people ( and I feel very deeply for them and their loss , this is NOT the outcome they wanted) Made some mistakes parenting this poor girl for her to ever have found herself in this mess.

No one tied the noose except this 13 year old girl.

If everyone else is responsible for her death, why is it that she is responsible enough to be able to send pics of her tits to whomever she wants?

No, I don't know what the parents did or said. But unless you have read something that I didn't see, you have no way of knowing that they mistreated this girl in any way.

Where would you guys be if all girls refused to show their tits?

This is a bit of a leap, isn't it?

How about asking us where we would be in all 13 year old girls refused to show their tits?

But I would be in the same place I am now, regardless of how you ask the question.

Women are far more like you than you think.

Every heathy human Should be allowed to have control over their own body.

That is why I would have made it clear to this girl that they were part of her and solely hers to do with as she deemed. I would have outlined that this decision had turned out not to be in her interest as she first thought when she made the decision to text her tits to this person. I would point out the backlash of her current society (JR High) was wrong and stupid. The boy showed others who she probably did not want to see her tits, People at school were being cruel and insensitive and the school was acting on automatic. The world and people are at times not very understanding of a mistake and now she understands that better than anyone. I would have reasured her that I was going to be understanding of her mistake even though I was very sadened at the mess she had created for herself. I would then have told her I would stand beside her and help her in any way to overcome this mess and gain her respect back. I would have reassured her that it was possible and that we would find a way for her to do it. I would have told her I felt the world had punished her enough and that the path was going to be hard so I would not compound it for her by adding to her misery. I would have then asked her what her ideas were to solve this mess. Then I would have brainstormed with her on how we go about getting there. I would have begun and ended this converstation with the reasurance that I loved her even still more than life itself.

I would have paved the path for her to find a solution to the problem she created.

Anyone reading this with a teenager at home remember that they are very fragile and this world is very confusing for a teen. They are very peer oriented and can often see NO WAY OUT of these public humiliations.

I would have been willing to sell my house and move her to a new school district if that was in the end the only real solution.

When you are a parent it takes priority over EVERYTHING!

At the bar, the same place I go when women currently show their tits.

Beer>tits.

I think there is nothing damed wrong with this.

Its their tits.

Naked is natural and blowing off steam from the restraints of societies weird obsession with our naked bodies is fine to me.

That does not mean one can bury their heads and pretend that some smuck at the bar may use his phone to take a picture of your tits at the bar and use it to get you fired.

Its not the flashing of tits that was bad it was the trusting of the smucks there not to be evil.

Now as a parent you cant control the world and make them treat your kids like they should be treated so you have to teach them the dangers that lurk in the human soul that would harm you when you misplace your trust.

This girl misplaced her trust.

For that she died.

Is there anyone out there who has not seen stories about pictures being sent and then passed around?

The flashing of tits by adults is not bad at all. But the flashing of tits by 13 year olds is certainly not something I would allow my child to do. And if she did, I would certainly take away her ability to do so again, until she showed the maturity necessary to have the phone and internet back.

I would not allow a 13 year old unrestricted access to the internet anyway.

The heart of the problem was this young girl misplaced her trust in a guy who did not care enough for her to be fair.

If this young man had NOT shared the picture with others she would have not had a problem.

She trusted someone should not have trusted.

When you were a teen did any girl ever show you her tits?

Todays kids do not comprehend the lack of privacy the new technology represents. They spend all day sending their innermost thoughts to each other on them. They end up with a false sense of privacy.

Its their parents responsibility to make it clear to them.

My computor was always in the main part of the house.

I could bet there is a massive amount of girls and boys in this country who have sent sexy pictures over their phone to someone.

This girl died because it was lt was handled all wrong by everyone involved but it was the parents who were suposed to be her protector.

When I was a teenager, the only way a girl could share pics of her tits was with a polaroid. And no, no girl ever let me take a pic of her tits with a polaroid.

And those who let me get my hands on their tits, did so far from prying eyes.

You finally placed the blame on the boy. Well done. But your original comment that the parents should not have punished her was way off.

The punishment was obviously a failure you fool , SHE IS DEAD!

The only thing that obvious is your twisted slant that the punishment caused her death.

Did she commit suicide because of the punishment? Or did she do it because of the humiliation of having her picture spread all over? Or did she do it because of the school's actions?

You are the only one who claims to "know" things that no one else knows. You claim to know what her parents did and how they treated her. You claim to know what caused her suicide. And you claim to know what would have changed that.

The only fool on this thread is the person who claims that a 13 year old should be allowed to show her tits to whomever she pleases.

You obviously didn't understand what I was saying. I don't care if women show their tits or not. I'd be at the bar regardless, because Beer>Tits.

Yeah, the opinionated part might get in the way. Grind strikes me as a pretty mellow drinker. There's still Cawacko...

yes I am usually pretty chill. I get more friendly and happy, I've never been angry when wasted ever. I also dance better too.

They failed their job as parents dude.

If you hold true to the comment of "They were her tits and she can show them to whoever she wants", then you also have to support the idea of "It's her life and she can end if she wants to".

And you defenxe is..............??

If she were taught to respect herself and her body long before this momment she would have never sought to show her tits to some guy to make him like her huh?
That must be society's fault because we all had more time with her than her parents...

Oh wait...
