John Durham to testify before House Judiciary Committee after releasing scathing report

Special Counsel John Durham will testify in front of the House Judiciary Committee about his report in June, a source has told Fox News on Friday.

The hearing will happen on Wednesday, June 21.

The day before, Durham will appear before the House Intelligence Committee in a closed-door briefing.

Durham has found that the Department of Justice and FBI "failed to uphold their mission of strict fidelity to the law" when it launched the Trump-Russia investigation.

The FBI’s original investigation, known as "Crossfire Hurricane," looked into whether the Trump campaign coordinated with Russia to influence the 2016 presidential election.

Durham's 300-page report to the Justice Department said his investigation also revealed that "senior FBI personnel displayed a serious lack of analytical rigor towards the information that they received, especially information received from politically-affiliated persons and entities."

"This information in part triggered and sustained Crossfire Hurricane and contributed to the subsequent need for Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation," the report said. "In particular, there was significant reliance on investigative leads provided or funded (directly or indirectly) by Trump's political opponents."

"The Department did not adequately examine or question these materials and the motivations of those providing them, even when at about the same time the Director of the FBI and others learned of significant and potentially contrary intelligence," the report said.

Durham is referring to past FBI leadership in his report – specifically former FBI Director James Comey and former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.


Reacting to the report, the FBI said in a statement: "The conduct in 2016 and 2017 that Special Counsel Durham examined was the reason that current FBI leadership already implemented dozens of corrective actions, which have now been in place for some time. Had those reforms been in place in 2016, the missteps identified in the report could have been prevented. This report reinforces the importance of ensuring the FBI continues to do its work with the rigor, objectivity, and professionalism the American people deserve and rightly expect."....

Durham admits under cross examination by Schiff and Swalwell, that in the 4+ years he spent investigating the predication of the 2 year Mueller investigation that resulted in boat loads of convictions proving the collusion, that he, Durham, did not read the Mueller report and is unaware of key conclusions and findings within it.

think about that. Remember all the whining about the length of the Mueller investigation. Cries of 'endless investigations' because Mueller took 2 years to get all those convictions and yet 4 years later with Durham, a nothing burger.

Read that last sentence again. Durham, spent 4 investigating the origins and yet is STILL unaware today of two key elements of the origins that he needed to investigate, and come to determinations on.

It was a waste of time, even Fox pulled off live coverage

The GOP couldn’t get Durham to say that the whole investigation was political, partisan form the offset, which is what they wanted, and it didn’t look good for them, especially when some of the Democrats outJordaned Jordan, Jimmy even got flustered several times as chairman

that is because the Republiclown know that what ACTUALLY started the investigation into potential Trump Campaign and Russia collusion was the Papadopoulos, Aussie conversation as reported by UK Intelligence (that Russia was working to influence the election in favor of Trump) to the FBI.

There is no instance, NONE, where the UK intelligence would report that conversation to the FBI, and the FBI not open an investigation. It does not matter whether it ultimately proves true or false. The point is they MUST determine if it is true or false via an investigation.

So if Durham looks at that aspect, the REAL predicate, he would have no choice but to find the Investigation was properly predicated and needed to take place.

So that is why Bill Barr gave him the tight mandate to instead just investigate the other aspects. To avoid the inevitable conclusion that this investigation was proper and had no choice but to happen.

The most hilarious part was Matt Gaetz tearing Durham a new one and suggesting he might be a Democrat plant. A deep State Democrat as the report, after 4 years was so devoid of anything critical of what was done.

That is how far todays republicunts have to go to convince themselves, after 4 years and $6MM it is just not possible there was nothing wrong to find, and it must be a Deep State cover up.
