Poor anchovies, I did not say he should be thrown in jail, I simply stated it is a FELONY to lie on form 4473.
Personally, I want this sleazeball around for family pictures as it graphically points out what an utter failure his father is at raising children.

This is completely untrue. First offense, or fifteenth, people who lie on a background check form get hit with a felony and do at least a year for it. Now, that said, it is rare that the feds actually pursue cases of lying on this form, so I can see some merit to the outcome.

On the two tax charges are normally bumped up to felonies too. It is rare for the IRS / DOJ not to charge someone who overtly lied repeatedly on filing their taxes with just a misdemeanor. Given that Hunter repeatedly lied filing his taxes, and the amounts involved, it is almost unheard of for the charges to be pushed as misdemeanors. Small amounts, one time, sure. But Bagman lied repeatedly to the tune of millions of dollars. That gets the fed's attention and they pursue those cases as felonies.
