Nikki Haley addresses Trump's indictment

Haley changes tune, calls Trump ‘reckless’

Nikki Haley on Monday called Donald Trump “reckless.”
Tim Scott described the federal charges brought against him as “serious allegations.”

It was far from an outright condemnation. But their comments marked a significant departure from the two presidential contenders’ initial reaction to Trump’s indictment. Just days after Republicans rushed to Trump’s defense, their remarks served as a sign the tide could be turning in the Republican presidential primary field’s willingness to go on offense against the former president.

McCarthy may have a valid point.

Do we really need banks? Couldn't we just put our money in boxes and store it next to the toilet?

I think McCarthy would like to be Speaker of the House for at least a year before the Trump Tuckers throw him out.

I will say that McCarthy handled the MAGA contingent in the House better than I thought he would during the debt crisis. The hardcore MAGAs basically didn't get anything they wanted, and they didn't even try to engineer a vote to strip McCarthy of the Speakership

In that particular case, I think a lot of the reps were being called by ever major donor to their campaign. Regardless of Pedo Don's claims and the clamoring of the JPP Trump Dummies, a default would have been disastrous.

A contentious issue that doesn't affect profits may prove to be McCarthy's undoing. One would be something to do with Trump or the Republican weaponizing of the Justice system.
