Trump scrambles to find lawyer on eve of first federal court appearance

"The 11th-hour flurry of action to hire a seasoned trial attorney was a familiar dance for Trump, who has had difficulty hiring and keeping lawyers over the course of numerous federal and state investigations since his 2016 election as president.

The depriving Trump and other enemies of the Revolution legal aid has been systematic, and has been done to the extent that there is no doubt but that the Constitution is over.

Buckle Up....this is going to hurt like a son of a bitch.

Nothing you say makes sense.

In Earlier Espionage Act Cases, Warning Signs for Trump

Like former President Donald J. Trump, Lt. Col. Robert Birchum was accused in Florida of mishandling classified documents. Like the former president, he was charged with violating the Espionage Act.

But unlike Mr. Trump, Mr. Birchum, 55, a highly decorated Air Force intelligence officer, took full responsibility. His lawyer said he expressed “true remorse.” He even cooperated with investigators, providing information about how he kept hundreds of secret papers for almost a decade in his home, an overseas office and a storage pod.

Despite all that, Mr. Birchum still got three years in prison when he was sentenced this month.

Trump is well known for not paying his lawyers, so this might explain why lawyers don't want to work for deadbeat Trump.

Donald Trump spent the day before his historic appearance in federal court scrambling to find a qualified Florida lawyer willing to join his defense team as he faces the Justice Department’s first prosecution of a former president.

After touching down in Miami on Monday, Trump spent the afternoon interviewing prospective lawyers and meeting with his legal team

I must say this is a pretty elaborate dog and pony show. This will fill up the news cycle for a sufficient amount of time for you people to concoct the next story to try and Get Trump, when this one inevitably fails. Which it will. The thing is you people dont actually give a shit about the documents. I'm sure you people will think of something before this falls apart. I have faith in the lefts ability to manufacture outrage.

Numerous Florida lawyers have already turned the Donald down. He is impossible to work with and never tells the truth even to those close to him.

What lawyer wants to go down in history for losing the big one? Get your name in history as a loser and not get paid.

That's a laughable lie. Another reason why reading the Washington Post makes you stupid.

There is an extremely BIG difference between a colonel and a President. Of course, idiots getting their information from the Washington Post and New York Times become more uninformed idiots.
