I just asked nine neighbors, sorry, every one is straight.
Neighbors don't always tell the truth.

I wonder how many thought he was asking for a date?
About nine percent of adults from around the world identify themselves as LGBTQ+, according to a new global survey released Thursday.
The new survey conducted by Ipsos found that three percent of those around the world identify themselves as lesbian or gay, four percent as bisexual, .9 percent as pansexual and .9 percent as asexual. The survey noted that those in Generation Z — people born after 1997 — were more than twice as likely to identify as bisexual, pansexual or asexual than Millenials and more than four times as likely than those in Generation X and Baby Boomers.

In my experience, 8 out of 10 male flight attendants are gay. There used to be a lot of gays in Key West during the early 90s but costs forced them to move north. To Fort Lauderdale from what my ex-GF told me. She worked as a hotel manager and knew most of the other major hotel managers, many of whom were gay.
I'd hang out with her on my days off from working in Miami and not flying for the Navy. Key West is an island about 2x4 statute miles so I didn't need a car, only a bicycle. I had a little license plate that read "protected by a pit bull with AIDS". One day a really pissed off shop manager came out to where my bike was chained up and chewed me out that AIDS was not a joke, that friend of his was dying of AIDS. I was unsympathetic. Not because they were gay or had AIDS, but that death was a common friend in my life and people need to get used to the idea they'll all die one day. Better to focus upon how they live, IMO.
My understanding was that the rapidly rising costs of living there drove most out. IIRC, about a third of the population was gay in the first half of the 90s.Gays want to live too. When AIDs was killing them and much was not known, many gays left Key West. It was always thought of as a gay community, but gays had their own favorite bars, restaurants and hangouts. You could shop, drink and dine as a family.
