This time, California wants to pass a law that electric bills will be income based, rather than use based. This bill would mean that people making incomes of $28,000 or less would pay just $15 a month. Those with higher incomes would pay more, effectively subsidizing low-income people.

Just one more nail in the coffin of California. It's one more straw added that will make higher income earners want to leave the state for friendlier locales.

What we're seeing is in blue states the oligarchy of elites and rich are staying, because they don't care about the cost of living there, it's minor to them. The poor, lazy, dependent on government handouts for life sort are going there too because they get the best benefits without having to do anything to get them. Meanwhile, the red states are getting all the productive people from the middle and upper middle class moving in to get good jobs from corporations that have fled blue states.
