I voted against the bill.

At a time when this country is rapidly moving toward Oligarchy, with more wealth and income inequality than we’ve ever experienced, I could not in good conscience vote for a bill that cuts programs for the most vulnerable while refusing to ask billionaires to pay a penny more in taxes. Wall Street and corporate interests may be enthusiastic about this bill, but I believe it moves us in exactly the wrong direction.

If Bernie is worried about income inequality he can donate one of his nomes and any thing he makes over the average income of 31K to bring those below average income up to that level. Typical socialist hypocrite. This just proves the Republicans won the debt ceiling negotiations

My guess is he meant to hit one letter up on his keyboard and spell, not jomes, the other letter that is one up from n.. you know the "aytch" (or as they would say it in Australopithicusland, Ostrichland... um... Actually, CBO says more people will get SNAP now.

If Sanders wants to pass tax hikes, then he should make sure Democrats have both houses of Congress and the White House in '25
