Dave Ramsey, a Christian finance "guru" who rose to fame after giving advice to people in his church (despite filling for bankruptcy), is now getting sued for 150 million dollars in a class action lawsuit.

Ramsey promoted a company called Timeshare Exit Team, which as it sounds was supposed to help people out of their timeshare contacts. He promoted them even after the BBB issued a warning about the company. The suit claims Ramsey was paid 30 million to promote the company, and continued to do so even after it's decline.

And? You people posts these things and never tell us why you think its important to post about. By the title I can only guess you don't give a shit about Ramsey or the story it's just a chance to knock on Christians and Christianity. That sounds about right doesnt it?

I don't recall the name of the company, but the Fox affiliate station here used to run ads for a very similar company. Wonder if it was the same one? The ads that station runs are horrible. They prey on low income, unsophisticated, poorly-educated people. Some offer to save your home from foreclosure. One features a crying young woman and asks "What would you do if your loved one was diagnosed with breast cancer?" then offers to take your car as a donation for "research" for breast cancer. (More likely, research on how to part people from their money.) There's also the stuff aimed at the elderly, like the "I've fallen and I can't get up" one where the voiceover says (if you don't sign up) "You'll lie there for DAYS in excruciating agony, or worse."

This Ramsey clown sounds like just another huckster using Jesus for his hustle.

Under the posters theory no one cares that those children were molested and tortured with the help of the Catholic Church and NOBODY cares that that happened
