Vashukevich recorded those meetings, but her English is not good enough to understand what they were talking about. She fled to Thailand, but was forced to go to Russia. Technically, it is not return to Russia, because she is a Belarus citizen. There she was apparently tortured, and her tapes were confiscated. She is not allowed to travel freely now, and may well be dead.

I wonder who Putin supports in the next Presidential Election.

The Kremlin is very concerned about persecution in America. The Russian Foreign Ministry says that sanctions have been imposed against “those in government and law enforcement who are directly involved in the persecution of dissidents in the wake of the so-called storming of the Capitol”.

Among those sanctioned are Brad Raffensperger and Letitia James, doubtless for their involvement in the persecution of Donald Trump.
