Donald Trump's hatred expressed towards McCain was the straw that broke a lot of Republicans backs.

And many of them will never vote Republican again.

McCain was one of the most well respected, beloved, and honored Congressman of all times by everyone.

Trump doesn't really like anybody but for what passes for "like" with him he probably likes servicemen who weren't wounded even more, and saves his best "likes" for those who weren't killed.

You truly are an idiot. Surrendering when you position becomes impossible to recover is fine and reasonable. Your own military rewarding that action is stupid (like you). No need for suicidal action. You fought well, ended up losing, and were captured. You did your duty, but that doesn't deserve an award for losing and being captured.

No, but I also don't reward him for it. It's like getting a 'Participation' trophy to award failure. You don't criticize or punish it because the person(s) involved tried their best, but their best didn't produce a win.

Getting captured is not a "failure." It is not shame. Anyone who puts themselves in harm's way to preserve our way of life is a hero, imo - and moreso those who ended up in captivity.

The above response should be a disgrace to every true American.
