Chicago suffers 34 shot, 8 killed as bloody Memorial Day weekend nears end Anders Hagstrom Sun, May 28, 2023, 1:15 PM EDT·

Chicago has suffered 34 shootings so far in Memorial Day weekend, with eight of them resulting in deaths, according to the Chicago Police Department. As of Sunday, several of those injured remained in critical condition in hospitals across the city. The carnage is already well above what was seen the previous weekend. The oldest victim of the weekend's violence is 55, while the youngest is just 14. The young girl suffered a bullet graze wound to her right arm while standing on the sidewalk with group of people at roughly 10 p.m. Saturday, according to ABC7 Chicago.

The guns make it all possible, ain’t heard of a lot of drive byes done with knives or baseball bats

And you can have the strictest gun laws ever, but if twenty minutes away the next community has few, any aspiring entrepreneur with a car trunk can turn over a quick buck

I live near an urban center, Anchovies...Atlanta.

It is now unlivable and the reason that the suburbs are now filled.

They're unlivable because of the soft as jello on crime, far left Democratic Socialist loons who will not control crime and make the streets safe.

You should just admit that the crime is due to releasing career criminals onto streets to...commit more crimes.

The loon on the N.Y.C. subway who threatened to kill the passengers is dead. He had been arrested 40 plus times, had assaulted a female getting off the subway.

Doesn’t appear to be the feeling the six million who live in Atlanta have, in fact, the city grew by hundred thousand in just the past year, maybe it is you, and not Atlanta

“Protected,” perhaps, but not absolute, even Scalia admitted they can, and need to be, regulated, and regulating guns isn’t confiscating guns

Crime in cities is proportional to crime across the country, in fact, it has gone down in the past year, and Democrats control urban areas, the same urban centers who overwhelmingly contribute to the country’s growth and prosperity, without them, the US would look like Albania

And if you turned the channel every now and then you’d know that all these demagogued instances the right wing media pimps to create fear aren’t what actually characterizes daily life in those areas
