Why do I live in the USA, when I know it is many times more dangerous than other developed countries?

Most importantly because it is home, and I feel allegiance to it. I have family and friends here. I am used to living here. Outside the violence, I enjoy the place. I make a good income here. I could go on.

I should imagine his reasons for living in Florida are the same, or similar. Just because you want to warn people about a danger around your home does not mean you are going to flee your home.
