Saying we should default is idiotic, never been done in US’s history, and if done, would have catastrophic results, not to mention it would increase spending down the road given interest rates will accelerate quickly

Raising the debt ceiling has ZERO impact on future spending. You can insult me all you want but it doesn’t change the facts. You correcting me on economics is like a sixth grader telling Neil Degrasse Tyson how stupid he is about astrophysics.

Why do they have to offer anything, it is about paying last year’s bills, bills due now, not about what you are spending next year, that comes with budget negotiations

Ah, the Democrats never held the country hostage over the debt ceiling, even when Trump was running up record deficits, you may not like it, but that are the facts, and your own excess partisanship is preventing you from recognize the real danger this is to the country

They offered to freeze the budge at last years numbers AND demanded years of spending caps. That ain't gonna happened.
 
It's really dismaying to see the quality of representation & leadership we have in the House right now.

McCarthy is smart, but he's a coward. Marjorie Taylor Greene is irrationally brave, but really dopey.

Why can't we do better? Congress should be the best of the best. Smart, courageous, sensible.

I blame our campaign process. You have to be crazy to run for anything.
