I think some do - but they are calculating that it works for them in the long run if the economy has a huge setback under Biden.
I don't think some of the more high-profile members understand it, at all. I think they are clueless - I'm sure they have seen details on what can happen, but they probably think it's "fake news" or some liberal plot to deceive everyone.
The current House GOP is such a sad group of people. The founders would be dismayed to see where we are in 2023 in terms of our leaders in DC.
Marjorie Taylor Green and Lauren Boebert don't understand sixth grade economics. They have no idea. I'd imagine there are 15 or 20 of them that have no clue. And of course there is George Santos who votes how McCarthy tells him to vote.
