The Internal Revenue Service said on Monday that Black taxpayers have been far more likely to be audited than others and that it is considering changes to its case selection process to address discrimination in how the tax code is enforced.

The acknowledgment came after the publication of research this year showing that Black taxpayers were disproportionately audited, prompting calls from members of Congress for a review into the methodology and algorithms that help determine who is selected.

They probably cheat on their taxes more but hey, since we are giving them reparations we might as well not make them pay taxes either.

In fact we should probably allow them to own white slaves also.

“While there is a need for further research, our initial findings support the conclusion that Black taxpayers may be audited at higher rates than would be expected given their share of the population,” Daniel Werfel, the I.R.S. commissioner, wrote in a letter to Senator Ron Wyden of Oregon, the Democratic chairman of the Senate Finance Committee.

So, they don't know why... somehow the math they use "targets" blacks even though they have no idea what their melanin levels are as the forms never ask....

It noted that the I.R.S. disproportionately flagged tax returns with potential errors in the claiming of certain credits, like the earned-income tax credit, which supplements low-income workers’ incomes in an effort to alleviate poverty.

Possibly think that a dollar given away by the government is worth more than one that wasn't collected? Don't worry, we hired more auditors and they are making sure my daughter notes all her tips and pays every dime she might owe... because you know, folks who work for tips are "rich" and "make more than 400k", they have to... because your namesake promised that not one single person who makes less than $400K would pay even "one dime more"... So, those tips they are targeting, that will fix this problem (he said sarcastically)... maybe that has something to do with it (more sarcasm, I know leftists often cannot identify it).
