The basic and unsurprising finding of the survey is that Democrats generally trust the media much more than Republicans do, and that this trust gap extends to almost every prominent outlet except a few websites and the right-wing cable networks — the big fish of Fox News and the minnows of Newsmax and OAN. Democrats aren’t just more likely to say they trust ABC, NBC, CNN and PBS. They’re more likely than Republicans to say they trust The Wall Street Journal, notwithstanding its conservative editorial page. They’re even more likely than Republicans to say they trust National Review, theoretically the intellectual flagship of the right.

You have it backwards. It isn't conservative media that has an audience problem, it's Leftist media. Leftist media only attracts the true believers. That can be shown in the mediocre ratings CNN, MSNBC, et al., have. It can be seen in the FACT that there is, for all intents, no nationally syndicated Leftist talk radio. Subscription levels for publications, numerous as they are, on the Left are miniscule.

Sure, numerically, the Leftist outlets far outnumber the Right, but nobody but Leftists are paying attention to them. There is no trust in that sort of media either, further showing that only the True Believers on the radical Left are paying attention to them.

NOBODY trusts the MSM. The trust factors are all in the 20's in their raw data. Showing that a tiny portion (the Left) trusts Leftist media is an absurdity they pull out of their ass by using bad statistical methods.

Its been proven that people claim beliefs to pollsters that they know they have been told by power that they should believe. Besides, people lie constantly now, this is a dark age.
