Ukraine's last offensive liberated 3,000 square miles, pushing the Russians across the Dnieper River. The Russians last offensive captured about 50 square miles, including 90% of a town called Bakhmut, which even most Ukrainians have never heard of. The Russian offensive has completely run out of steam, and now the Ukrainian offensive will start. The US is worried that the Ukrainian offensive will "only" capture a thousand square miles or so, but it is possible they will capture far more.
