Does anyone in the GOP have any scruples? Appears a GOP candidate can be guilty of nearly anything and they will still support him, and they call themselves the party of law and order

So it looks like he was a crook so prosecute him and move on. I don’t see what this has to do with the GOP, nobody is defending his actions.

Just another liberal hate thread

Okay, so Santo's is a lying sack of shit and corrupt. He's getting what's coming for that. If he were a Democrat however...

Kevin McCarthy Mocked For 'Spineless' Response To George Santos Indictment

Wednesday’s indictment of Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.) gave House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) yet another chance to call for the controversial congressman to resign.

He didn’t.

Back in January, when Santos was first sworn into Congress and there were multiple reports on his pattern of lies, McCarthy told reporters about the conditions under which he might ask the congressman to resign.

“If for some way when we go through Ethics and he has broken the law, then we will remove him,” McCarthy said, adding, “He has a responsibility to uphold what they voted for, to work and have their voice here, but at any time, if it rises to a legal level, we will deal with it then.”

Santos avoids prosecution in deal with Brazilian authorities in fraud case

São Paulo, Brazil
CNN

US Rep. George Santos has signed a deal with Brazilian authorities to avoid prosecution in lieu of a confession, reimbursement for the victim and a fine to the state stemming from a 2008 fraud case, his attorney said.

“From now on, he is not answering to any lawsuits in Brazil,” his attorney Jonymar Vasconcelos said at the Niterói courthouse outside Rio de Janeiro.

Documents obtained by CNN in January showed Santos, a New York Republican, confessed to defrauding a Rio de Janeiro area clerk of $1,300 over clothes and shoes in 2008.

Santos will pay a total of approximately $4,878.45. Of this amount, approximately $2,000 will go to the government as a fine and $2,800 to the victim, Bruno Simões, who told reporters that Santos has 30 days to make the payment via bank transfer. Simões told CNN that the government’s share of the payment will go to charity.

Santos appeared via video conference, and according to Simões, the judge unmuted Santos and asked if he confessed to the crimes described in the case, to which Santos replied he did.

He'd be perceived the same way, and held accountable the same way.

Bullshit! If he was a party faithful Democrat the MSM would run cover for him, fail to report negative stories on him, and the various levels of government bureaucracy would try to circumvent prosecution, just as they are now doing for Joke Biden, as they did in the Awan scandal, and numerous other times. When it's a Democrat, the deep state and legacy media along with most major social media try damn hard to bury the story and make it go away. When it's a Republican or person that those groups hate, they pile on double deep to hammer the person involved.

Yes, Santos is a real piece of shit. But he's small peanuts compared to what the Bidens were up to. That's becoming crystal clear to anyone who thinks for themselves. Nobody needs 21 LLC shell corporations to move funds through unless you are money laundering. Hunter had no particular skills or merit, and given his background to include being cashiered out of the military, says the corporations, governments, and individuals that lined up and paid him huge sums of money weren't doing it for his business and knowledge acumen.

Yep, no one is defending George's actions. When asked for comment, any GOP member runs for their lives. How "brave".

$20 says George will be sucking cocks in prison to make extra money for snacks.

Republican mini-Trump gets caught and Terry blames the Democrats. :rofl2:

When Anthony Weiner was exposed, Nancy called him into her office the next day, and told him to start packing and be gone before the sun goes down.

That's wrong. The scandal broke on May 27th 2011. On June 6 Weiner admitted his involvement. Pelosi called for an investigation into this, but nothing more. On June 7th House Republicans called on Pelosi to force Weiner to resign. She did nothing. The scandal widened until on June 13th, Obama in a press statement said if it were him, he'd resign and that's what Weiner should do. On June 20th, Weiner resigned as it was obvious the scandal was out of control. Pelosi, effectively did NOTHING in this mess.

Totally wrong you senile fool. Santos is a piece of shit. He's getting what he deserves. If he were a Democrat--this is called a thought experiment--he would have had cover from the media, the state, and his party to try and keep him in power.

Pelosi, Democrats Call For Weiner's Resignation
sanfrancisco

June 11, 2011 / 12:32 PM / CBS San Francisco

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Reticent no longer, the Democratic Party hierarchy demanded on Saturday that Rep. Anthony Weiner resign for sending online material ranging from sexually suggestive to explicit to several women.

"This sordid affair has become an unacceptable distraction for Representative Weiner, his family, his constituents and the House," Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the party chairwoman, said in a written statement calling for the New York lawmaker to quit.

The House Democratic leader, Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California, said Weiner "has the love of his family, the confidence of his constituents and the recognition that he needs help. I urge Congressman Weiner to seek that help without the pressures of being a member of Congress."

Weiner had no immediate reaction.

Wasserman Schultz, Pelosi and others party leaders made their demands one day after Weiner acknowledged that he had exchanged online messages with a Delaware teenager. He said the exchanges involved nothing inappropriate.

He stepped down on June 17th!
