How is everyone coping with the Great Depression

I haven't really been checking because I knew from all the brilliant posters at JPP that we must have reached that point of economic collapse. How much is the market down? How is unemployment? Double digit yet? How about growth? How far negative has GDP growth gotten?

Oh, wait, I just checked. Inflation is down, job growth is slow and steady, GDP growth is also slow but steady.

What happened? Did ANYONE predict that we could tame inflation without a Great Depression?

Oh, that's right, I did.

Discuss how galactically stupid the JPP chicken littles turned out to be.

The economy added another quarter of a million jobs, making the markets very happy today. Unemployment is down to 3.4%.

Our RW friends couldn't predict their way out of a paper bag. lol

Republicans took the house and were able to block a lot of Bidens destruction so the economy is now improving.

It sucked when democrats controlled both houses didn’t it?

Thank you republicans for halting the bleeding

Check out what the index was in April of 2021 and see where it is now. You're a mental midget.

https://ycharts.com/indicators/us_c...is at a current level,2.61% from one year ago.

Nope. That is when Biden got important things done that will impact the country positively for a long time. The reds talked about a much-needed infrastructure bu\ill. They had no intention of doing it, That meant some money would be spent on roads and bridges that the average person uses. https://www.cnn.com/2022/01/20/poli...ities-to-get-done-executive-orders/index.html

ROTFLMFAO!!!!

Name one thing the House has 'stopped'. A specific measure that has impacted the economy. I'll wait.

The depth of your stupidity is actually shocking.

Your admission that the economy is incredibly strong under Joseph Biden is appreciated.

Oh look, a fascist democrat is lying.

How droll.

Inflation remains high at 5.4%. Consumer confidence is low, and we are ready to go back into a recession - democrats lied about the last one, the vermin will lie about the next one as well.

Trump put forth a trillion dollar infrastructure bill and the left killed it simply because it was from Trump

The very fact that they control the house means that destructive legislation that would have been introduced isn’t being put forth now because the left knows it would be blocked

The only reason the economy is improving is because the results of Covid ending are finally showing up which, by the way, includes the lifting of many restrictions that Biden fought against.

I challenge anyone here to show one thing Biden has done that has improved the economy.

There are none and all of his policies from heavy regulation on business to his attacks on the energy industry have done nothing’s but slow down our growth.

It's always been blocked. Republicans blocked basically every single proposal from this administration. You are incredibly low intelligence. It's pretty remarkable. I'm not kidding. You literally don't understand the basics of how government works, or the basics of economics. There are ten year olds with more knowledge. That isn't a joke, and it isn't hyperbole. You are just flat out stupid.

Well if they’ve blocked everything then that means Biden has gotten nothing through congress which would have impacted the economy doesn’t it?

More than two and a half years ago, Donald Trumpf practically guaranteed that if Americans dared to elect Biden there would be an unprecedented depression of apocalyptic proportions.

Not how economics works. Very unlikely that anything the GOP Congress blocked as of a few months ago would have the kind of impact we've been seeing on jobs - which is consistent w/ the jobs additions we have seen since Biden became President (12 million jobs added).

It's a recurring pattern in modern history. A Republican President crashes the economy, and their Democrat successor brings it back.

Trump had two years where Republicans were in total control of the Federal government if he were genuinely interested in a multi trillion dollar infrastructure bill.

It took Democrats being in control to get a landmark infrastructure bill

It appears that some alt lefties here have forgotten about double diget inflation which has eaten away at the buying power of the American dollar. The supply chain is still boinked,, the cost of fueling the trucks that deliver virtually every product we touch has gone out of control, and the cost of every utility, water, natural gas, and electricity has literally doubled in the last two years.
Ex; My 2020 natural gas bill was budgeted at #90/month for years. It is currently $183/mo and we are being warned that the December catch up bill could be a whopper. City water/sewer/amd recycle have added a surrcharge of $25/quarter just for fuel. As the state closes natural gas, nuclear, and coal burning electric plants they are forced to supliment shortages with high priced energy supplied by neighboring states so electric bills have nearly doubled.
The stock market has been basically stagnant for three yearrs so returns are in a holding pattern

What planet you asshats are living on would prove interesting to know.
