The fact is he does not care about justice. He is a far-right loon who is trying to move the courts to help the wealthy. This Roberts court is the most anti-worker and pro-corporate of all time. He did not do it for the money. But the bribes were good.

In a 2001 speech, Thomas said serving on the Supreme Court wasn't worth it for the money.
A group of Democratic lawmakers wants to withhold funding from the court until it adopts a code of ethics.
Justice Clarence Thomas — who has accepted lavish vacations and other financial benefits from GOP megadonor Harlan Crow for years — said in a speech in 2001 that serving on the Supreme Court wasn't worth it for what it paid.
"The job is not worth doing for what they pay," Thomas said during a speech in 2001, The New York Post reported at the time. "The job is not worth doing for the grief. But it is worth doing for the principle."

Sotomayor’s next check, coming in May of that year, was her largest ever from the parent company, at $82,807.
The Supreme Court does not reveal how individual justices vote when it comes to “cert,” but it does note when they recuse, which Sotomayor did not. Her decision not to recuse is particularly notable because Breyer again recused. Breyer received payments from Penguin Random House or Knopf each year, which he seemingly viewed as a conflict, even though he received only a tenth of the amount — $340,000 during the same time period — as Sotomayor (Breyer’s wife also wrote a book for the company).
The Penguin Random House money dwarfed the pay that Sotomayor received from the court and made up all of her reported outside earned income, with the exception of $6,000 in payments from groups — some of which related to her book — and a $5,000 “option fee,” which typically relates to books, according to the disclosures. It is unethical. He is doing damage to the court. I understand those nuances do not mean anything to the right. If you cannot go to jail for it, it is good and you can do it. History books will write about the Roberts court and the greed of Thomas for centuries. The court that broke the Supremes.
You are aware that the Founding Fathers created the Supreme Court purposely as the one branch beyond partisan influence, purposely nonpolitical, guided by the law, not ideology, correct? They even made appointment to that Court a life time position.
Having a Judge with a secret sugar daddy and a spouse overtly active in extreme politics just doesn’t quite seem to fit what they intended

They have to go through an impeachment process. That would require a majority vote from the House. How likely is that? Then the Senate has to convict.
We hope he will do the right thing and resign.
