Is trump going for a incompetence defense?

trump decided not to show at his trial, which seemed kind of stupid. Then he decided not to present a defense, so now it is ten witnesses against none. That might have made sense if it was a criminal trial, where he needs to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt guilty... This is a civil trial. They just need a preponderance of the evidence (51%). Ten witnesses against NOTHING is a preponderance. Realizing he made a huge mistake, he announces he is rushing back to the USA to testify... But also realizing his deposition was the strongest evidence against him, he knows testifying would be a bigger mistake.

It is impossible to predict what a jury will do, but trump has lost on the evidence.

Indeed...that's TDS...There are 10 females here that would testify that Trump attacked them... and would coordinate their stories... there's so much hatred here that lying doesn't mean a thing anymore... anything goes...

They would have had to coordinate their stories with trump. Do not forget trump is one of the people with a similar story of him being a predator.

We have emails sent before the trump tape was made public, that describe the same behavior as trump described. That could only work in one of two cases: either the behavior is real, or trump is secretly coordinating to bring down trump.

trump isn't the least bit concerned about losing a civil trial. His under educated fans will send him their food stamp money the moment he asks.

I doubt this will effect trump much in the primaries. he definitely has the party of trump(former republican party) nomination. It will probably only become a major factor in the general election.

Trump is despised or loathed not hated. "Despised" infers a level of contempt and disrespect that "hate" does not necessarily infer, which is why Trumpers prefer the word. They like to think Trump has a kind of magnificence for everyone.

It's hard to believe that any competent atty would allow him to testify as he is incapable of telling the truth. He is also incapable of sticking to answering questions w/o bloviating off into some other tangent. He'd be held in contempt in the first five minutes. :laugh:

Maybe the strategy is he testifies, then appeals on the basis of ineffective counsel?

trump's deposition was a disaster, I find it hard to believe testimony would be better.
