You are wrong according to military experts. Many say Putin has mishandled it from the day he decided to take over a non-threatening country. He has drafted thousands and thousands more Russian people. He is losing the backing of a huge percentage of his people. This fake attempt on his life was to rouse the people to back the war. Ukraine does not have the missiles to hit Moscow. The little missiles, which he somehow knew were coming were way too underpowered to get that far. This is a false flag. Odd, that the Ukraines did not bother to find out where Putin was when they did this.
Putin is on Trump's level.

The USA was unable to take out Saddam anytime, and we had air and ground supremacy. Putin has neither, and clearly antiquated intelligence gathering. Putin is left using area weapons, where the USA was using precision munitions.

Had Putin won the war in a week, it would have been a fate accompli, and no one would have been able to do anything about it. As it is now, Russia is desperately battling to capture a tiny town even Ukrainians have ever heard of, and are about to face off against more and more western weapons.

This might all just be a ruse by Putin to look inept, but even that would be a huge mistake. Everyone is now asking that if Ukraine can defeat Putin, who else can.

I had to reread that a few times to fully understand your delusion. I think you are actually comparing Russia to Vietnam in this war, not to the USA. In your fantasy, Ukraine is the bigger country invading Russia, and Putin is doing total warfare to defeat a superpower.

The reality is Russia is the superpower, trying to invade the smaller country, willing to use total warfare against them. Putin does not want to be stuck in the Vietnam strategy, because it is not a winning situation for him...

Also, the Ukrainians are not leaning heavily on guerrilla warfare, there are clear frontlines. There are tank battles. I could go on and on.
 
Interesting that Russia is putting the blame on America not Ukraine...whether they believe that IDK but the Ukrainians are now on notice that if they attack Moscow there will be Hell to pay. My best guess is that they will remove electricity from Kiev.

The one thing about war is it is the ultimate test of truth. Putin declared he would have no problem invading the Ukraine, because the Ukrainians wanted him to. When tested, that was found to be false.
