To arms!

Subjects which are Protestants may have Arms for their Defence suitable to their Conditions, and as allowed by Law.

- from Article VII of the English Bill of Rights (1689), which along with Magna Carta is considered to be the basis of the unwritten constitution.

Most British conservatives are Protestants, at least nominally, but I never heard of them claiming their constitutional right to firearms. Have they thought what they would do if there was a Catholic uprising?

Britain should join the ranks of Guatemala, Mexico and the United States, the only countries in the world which guarantee their citizens the right to keep and bear arms!

I'm pretty sure English can own sporting rifles and shotguns. But as a society they have decided civilians have no legitimate need for semiautomatic rifles outfitted for high capacity ammunition.

Our Constitution doesn't bestow any rights halfwit. It clearly states that a presumed right is not infringed upon by the Government.

This is why a senile, incompetent, lying, corrupt and divisive dotard like Biden gets elected. Our founders were concerned knowing that only an EDUCATED public could preserve this wonderful experiment in self-governance. Our leftist educational establishment is failing us, you being a perfect example.

They don't have a constitution either. Their government can take away rights with impunity. You should move there. Lord knows one less brain dead lying leftist hack can't be bad for us.

.

Wait a minute, so the Constitution protects “presumed rights,” ah, who defines what these supposed “presumed rights” are? can a person presume his own rights? how can they protect “presumed rights” when there is no definition of what is a “presumed right?”

And “copy” labels others as idiotic and morals

the constitution prescribes several limited powers to the federal government. It also lists some of the 'presumed' rights that the federal government has no power over. we call these 'negative' rights, whereas your freedom hating self would prefer positive rights that you can change with a simple majority

I don't know about the nutwashing of Protestants, obviously, but as for the part that I quoted, I totally agree.

My fellow progressive liberals, mostly, aren't happy with me for it.

WOKE issues don't define the real progressive liberal.

Advocating for a more comprehensive public sector and a more regulated private sector
is what takes up the consciousness of serious progressive liberals.
If that's a self-aggrandizing statement, it's also a true one.

I'm still different from the brain dead Reichnut mutants, though.
I favor an absolute ban on AR-15 type weapons.

No. In the UK today, only shotguns and some rifles under very, very strict regulation are allowed. Nothing else in terms of a firearm is legal. You have to be licensed, and the conditions for getting that license are near onerous.

What are the rules on firearms licences in the UK?
https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2021/aug/13/what-are-rules-firearms-licences-uk

They should be able to demonstrate that “they require their firearm on a regular, legitimate basis for work, sport or leisure (including collections or research)”, although police are able to exercise discretion on a case-by-case basis of what merits a “good reason” to own a firearm.

So, for all intents, the population in the UK has been disarmed. Hell, you have to be over 18 and the knife gets registered!

Even in the most oppressive nations, the right of self defense using any weapon still exists. No government can take that away. The right is inherent.
It's just too easy to build any weapon you want.

RQAA. This question has already been answered. Stop mindlessly asking it.

You're a moron. One cannot argue with a moron who doesn't understand basic English. Look up "presumed" and get back to me when you have enough common sense to comprehend the obvious.
