Jeffries said Democrats had crafted a “special rule” that could allow a bipartisan measure to be considered on the House floor through use of a so-called “discharge petition” — a procedure that is cumbersome, time-consuming and rarely successful. Such a petition would require 218 votes to discharge, or release a bill from committee, to start the process for a vote in the full House.

The 14th Amendment includes a provision that protected public debt held by the federal government, and prohibited payment of debt held by the Confederate states.

“The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned,” the clause reads.

So, what's the Joke administration going to do, declare red states in rebellion because they don't agree with his policies? What lame assed idea that is from an administration that is overflowing like a toilet with bad, lame assed ideas...

The Dems helped pass it 3 times when Trump was in office. The Dems are adults. They recognize the danger of default. Sometimes it seems the Reds want to burn it all down. Not all of them, but enough to make it potentially possible.

WTF does that have to do with the current debt limit bill? Answer: Nothing. You are offering a red herring and nothing more. Or are you suggesting that Trump was more flexible and worked with Democrats to get the debt limit passed and signed into law while Biden and the Democrats are refusing to do the same with the Republicans now?
