Biden will not do debates

Biden can't win on Democrat votes alone. He needs roughly half or more of Independents and some Republican crossover voting to win. Against Trump he might get it. Against anyone else, he's going to almost certainly lose.

And that is pretty much the tale of he election of 2024

Have a couple of them already, thanks.

Dictionaries do not define any word. No dictionary owns any word. That is not the purpose of dictionaries.

Really. That would have come as a surprise to Samuel Johnson and Noah Webster, and currently would to the publishers of The Oxford and all the other dictionaries. What is the "purpose'?

Here, by the way, is what Webster presently says about the meaning of democracy:

1
a
: government by the people
especially : rule of the majority
b
: a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections
2
: a political unit that has a democratic government
3
capitalized : the principles and policies of the Democratic party in the U.S.
from emancipation Republicanism to New Deal Democracy—
C. M. Roberts
4
: the common people especially when constituting the source of political authority
5
: the absence of hereditary or arbitrary class distinctions or privileges

Don't respond to the crazy things he says,if you can help it. Dictionaries owning words? What a strange concept. By the way, it is the Democratic Party.

Most incumbent presidents don't face much opposition to running for a second term. Biden is a major exception where 3 out of 4 voters think he shouldn't run. That's a near unprecedented amount of opposition. Trump wasn't faced with that much opposition to his running for a second term.

The only poll that counts is the one on election day. Plenty of Republicans told me there was no way Biden could beat Trump.

Biden in 40 percentage points ahead of the only announced primary contender RFK jr., among Democratic primary voters.

Unless you are brand new to politics, you should know that an incumbent president doesn't give a platform to a D-list dark horse by agreeing to debate.

Okay, Biden gets the nod. The question is who is he running against? We don't know that yet. If it isn't Trump, odds are Biden loses.

You don’t know that, it really depends on who the candidate is. Ron has not endeared himself to the same block of voters who came out midterm. A 6 week ban on abortion will not win over women and independent voters.
