Before Carroll took the stand, however, the judge in the case, Lewis A Kaplan, rebuked Trump for an “entirely inappropriate” statement on his social media platform, Truth Social, shortly before proceedings began.

Kaplan warned the former president’s lawyers that such statements about the case could bring more legal problems upon himself.

Trump, who has not attended so far, called the case “a made-up scam”.

Her encounter with Trump quickly turned dark when she accompanied him into a dressing room, E. Jean Carroll testified. She called it “extremely painful” when he forced his fingers inside of her. “It was a horrible feeling because he put his hand inside of me and curved his finger,” she said.

Carroll described explicitly how he also forced sex on her in the dressing room before she successfully kneed him away from her so she could flee the room.

On the days when my job is real bad, I think "At least I'm not one of Trump's lawyers".
