What's next, the lords prayer before class?!!

The Texas Senate approved a bill Thursday that would require public schools in the state to prominently display the Ten Commandments in every classroom, starting next school year, The Texas Tribune reports. The bill's sponsor, state Sen. Phil King (R), argued earlier this month that the Ten Commandments are part of American heritage, and his legislation "will remind students all across Texas of the importance of the fundamental foundation of America."

The state Senate also gave final passage to legislation that would allow public and charter schools to require that time be set aside for students and employees to party and read the Bible or other religions texts. The bills are "the latest attempt from Texas Republicans to inject religion into public schools," the Tribune reports. In 2021, the state Legislature passed a law require schools to display "In God We Trust" signs donated by community members.

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick backs both bills, calling them wins for religion freedom. "Bringing the Ten Commandments and prayer back to our public schools will enable our students to become better Texans.," he said in a statement. Proponents of the bills argue they will withstand challenges on constitutional grounds after the Supreme Court ruled last year that a Washington State high school football coach could pray at football games.

Republicans want to impose the Ten Commandments on your children but not on Trump. - Middle Age Riot

Have holy rollers even read the Ten Commandments?

It's a list of Jewish religious rites, prohibitions against capital crimes, and prohibitions against adultery and lust.

That's not really even an appropriate or comprehensive moral framework to present to second graders.

The fire and brimstone Old Testament evangelicals seem to studiously avoid the moral framework taught by Jesus.
Blessed be the merciful.
Blessed be the meek.
Bkessed be the pure of heart.
Blessed be the peacemakers.
Blessed be the poor and the persecuted.
Universal love
and the golden rule.

you mean because it doesn't include drag queen story hour?......or a condemnation of white people?......I think your concept of moral framework is a bit shaky.......

They were given to Jews no one else

God never brought non Jews or their ancestors out of Egypt, Ex 20:2 "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery."

The Lord has not given non Jews the promised land of Canaan! Ex 20:12 "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the Lord your God gives you"

Since the Sabbath is a sign between God and fleshly Israel, there is nothing requiring non-Jews to keep it! (Ex. 31:13,17; Ezek. 20:12, 20)

If it was intended for all mankind, then why specifically say "strangers within your gates". Obviously the Gentiles (strangers) were never required at any point in earth history to keep the Sabbath
