Fox caves

Fox settled for half the sum demanded by Dominion, I think they will consider that a win.

Really? That is what you think? They lost an immediate 800 million dollars and took a blast to their reputation. That is some victory. Now they have Smartmatic to deal with. They are suing for 2.5 billion. Maybe a 1.25 billion payoff victory is in their future.

I will answer no more questions from you, until you finish answering mine, about the area where you live that supposedly has 30% Muslims.

If Dominion refused to settle and won, FOX would have appealed the decision countless times and drug this court case out for years. By the time it was all over the legal fees and the simple fact of time and what a dollar is worth would have reduced the final sum considerably. Now they get a check for 787.5 million now with no further fight when many said previously that the ruling would probably amount to maybe 600 million.

We are very, very close to being able to ignore Trump most nights. … I truly can’t wait, I hate him passionately,” and then, speaking of Trump’s four years in office: “We’re all pretending we’ve got a lot to show for it because admitting what a disaster it’s been is too tough to digest. But come on. There really isn’t an upside to Trump.” - Tucker Carlson

The media company also faces a $2.7 billion defamation lawsuit filed by another voting technology company, Smartmatic, that alleges Fox broadcast lies that “decimated” its business.
This one could and should be even worse.

I remember when we said the same thing about cases involving ABC, CBS, NBC, etc.....meanwhile.....facts remain facts.......the election WAS unconstitutional.......so you guys have fun......its not going to change 2024.....

One would think that if the election was unconstitutional, this lawsuit would have gone nowhere.

Only in America. You can lie, get caught lying, pay over 3/4 of a billion, have your reputation go in the tank - and it's a W.

I know, right?......you can lie, get caught lying, have an unconstitutional election, fuck over the country, cost taxpayers trillions and STILL be the Pale Faced Pedophile in the Oval Office.....

why?.....it wasn't voting machines which made it unconstitutional........if was election procedures not authorized, or in some cases, in specific violation of the rules set forth by state legislaturs.......things like unsupervized drop boxes and ballot harvesting.....but then you knew that before you posted something stupid......

CNN was sued successfully.

New York
CNN Business

“CNN has settled a lawsuit with a Kentucky high school student who was at the center of a viral video controversy, a spokesperson for the news network confirmed Tuesday.

No other details were immediately available. An attorney for the student, Nicholas Sandmann, did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Sandmann only tweeted, “Yes, we settled with CNN.”

The settlement will allow CNN to avoid a lengthy and potentially unpredictable trial. Sandmann sought $275 million in damages in the lawsuit he filed against CNN last March.”

The FOX settlement will allow FOX to avoid a lengthy and potentially unpredictable trial.

My apologies for doubting the expertise of the resident constitutional lawyer.

According to analysis by the Washington Post, Mr Trump made 30,573 false or misleading claims between his first day in office, on 20 January 2017, and his final day on Wednesday, when Joe Biden was sworn in as the country’s next president.

The WAPO has lied 30,574 times.

The Washington Post…too funny.
