Just in...opening arguments were stalled this morning, and now it appears that Fox has caved to Dominion.

I'm guessing we'll never know the dollar amount, but it's going to have to be enough to prevent Fox or wannabes from doing it again.

Otherwise, it's a good business move to just keep slandering others.

$787M so far. I'm curious about other changes. Also, isn't this just one of two lawsuits?
 
I'm surprised that there wasn't a NDA. I'm thinking Dominion refused, given the strength of the case.
 
Nearly 800 million and they have to admit on air that they lied. I have not seen how often, or who has to do it. it will not matter to Fox Viewers. They knew all along they were being lied to and did not care.

The $787.5 million payment cited by Dominion represents roughly half of the $1.6 billion that the company initially asked for in damages. Fox is still facing a similar defamation suit from another plaintiff involved in voting technology, Smartmatic.

A Smartmatic spokesman said in a statement: “Dominion’s litigation exposed some of the misconduct and damage caused by Fox’s disinformation campaign. Smartmatic will expose the rest.”

Well, when it became evident that Dominion was suing, all on air personalities started challenging the new lies from guests. In essence, they were ceasing and desisting all Dominion claims.

I'm sure they'll spin this until they're dizzy

This is chump change for Fox. Smartmatic will probably be a similar dollar amount.

And Fox will go right back to making a fortune on lies.

They just won't target corporations.

And BOY will they avoid being complicit in trump's crimes in the future.

At this point, anyone who mentions Tucker as a source of information gets mocked and ridiculed. Anyone who pretends Fox is News gets the same treatment. I think it's hilarious that after being served a steaming pile of horseshit by Fox, guys like clownfish and Hawkeye will go back and ask for another serving.
