GOP Senator Says Justices are Like Other Politicians

the problem is still part of the left/right divide. those on the left see 'conservative' judges as deciding based on their political views, but 'liberal' judges on the constitution, and vice versa.

it's a huge part of why I see the courts as irrelevant now

He hasn't been criticized for having friends, dumbo. Nor (since it didn't register for you the first time) is he supposed to be a politician.
 
I always thought that the awesome power and responsibility of the job would make Supremes do the right thing. For most of the time, it leaned that way. However, the Federalist Society saw a way to politicize the court to their advantage. They track judges from their first years of college. They question them and help the "right " ones. The court had occasional slants in the past, but they were not a product of a well-funded organization with creating a slanted right-wing Xtian court as a goal. That is what we have now.

It seems very likely that Thomas has committed multiple felonies. At the very least, DOJ should be investigating, and they should interview the donor under oath. And Thomas as well. What real estate is Thomas holding? He sold his houses to the donor. Laundering money is a felony.

How do those relate? Are Hunter's paintings changing laws? He may be a great artist. Who knows?
Thomas is hurting the Supreme Court directly and American justice at the same time. Thomas has been lying in his court submissions and taking money from a wealthy man.He should resign. Perhaps Hi\unter should resign. Oh yeah, Biden did not put his kids in power or give them jobs.
