You were probably able to graduate w/o a large load of debt too. That's one reason my g-son chose an in-state school over an out-of-state one. He did consider Univ. of Hawaii too, mostly because he liked the babes there. lol

I agree, I think he is enjoying the possibilities, but I secretly hope he goes to the University of Florida. I will support whatever he decides.

He has full tuition at UF.

In one of the most San Francisco stories ever, CNN sent a crew last month to report on crime in SF (to give an alternative to the Fox narrative) and their reporters got robbed.

Lots of people on the right and left use California, and even San Francisco, as a proxy for the culture and political wars. That doesn't take away the reality on the ground. I posted last week the local concern about a 'death spiral' for the City. This is coming from people on the left, not Trump type folks. (remember your response to the SF Chronicle editorial article trying to deflect and lie about me). You may not want to hear that and if you don't live here its easy not to care. But that doesn't make it go away.

Paying in-state tuition at a public university has a lot of upside.

Hawaii would be good for oceanography and marine sciences!

Now we do have some pretty brazen crime committed here in broad daylight but generally speaking most criminals don't break out a bullhorn and announce "hey everyone, pull out your cell phones because you're in for a treat - you get to witness a real live crime occurring".
