No crime San Francisco trip!

My wife and son are on a College visit to San Francisco, he’s considering colleges for the fall.

On their fourth day, haven’t witnessed a single crime yet!

Does that blow you Trumppers minds?

For the fall of 2023? Where has he applied?

How fascinating, the outpouring of rage and venom over someone's kid going to college in California. It apparently IS true that Reichwingers hate college educations.

MAGAs, Teabaggers, and assorted fascists have been predicting the demise of California and San Francisco to me since the 1980s.

This is like going to visit an area where there has been a bunch of racial issues/tension/fights and declaring after a couple of days 'I didn't see anything, it's all made up'.

If you turn on Fox News they act as if it’s dangerously to walk a downtown street in broad daylight.

My point is not that there is no crime, but that conservatives media makes it out to be a war zone… and it’s not.

They do the same thing with NYC subway and the entire country of Mexico.

It would only add fuel to the fire to mention that the University of California system gives a roughly comparable education to the finest private universities in the world, at a fraction of the cost. Hooray socialism!

My second-oldest g-son considered one of the California universities when he was looking, but I forgot which one. He settled on Southern and A&M near home, and graduated last year with a BS in mechanical engineering.

I think the most important thing is to be comfortable with where one goes to school. There are a lot of intangibles to consider. I probably could have gone to Berkeley, but UC Davis was a better fit for me.
