Seriously... and believe me if a granddaughter or niece spent a lifetime working hard to get an athletic scholarship, a spot in a meet, or a medal, or record, lost out to a man ...or experiencd an incident in a bathroom or a locker room the "thinking" would be a lot different.....
It is... nothing else...
Less religious, less grounded in basic morality, less selfless, less willing to follow rules, less willing to discuss and more likely to shout down or shut out, etc. …

I don’t think the majority of kids behave that way, conservative or liberal. I have teacher friends and relatives and they say the majority of kids still give them hope. I know this to be the case in my extended family and friends. I still see a lot of good in America!

Riley Gainer said the trans that she cometed against was fully intact and as the girls we changing their clothing he walked by and looked at them then he removed his clothing. She was not warned that HE would be doing that. That is just not right for them to be exposed to that. Then they had to compete with him. That is unfair to two levels. She came in 2nd place and had he not been allowed to cheat she would have been first. That is just wrong.

462 in the world as a man...1st as a "woman"...However, he didn't do badly on the men's team.. he should have stayed there.. or just quit swimming... totally unfair to the girls on his team, any girls he competed again, and the sport in general.. I hope they take away every meet result and record... but that doesn't help the girls who lost out on a spot for a chance to compete because he took their place.. but swimmers like Riley know who really won. we all do ...

Look, here is the deal, this didn't even start in the USA anyway. It started with the World Olympics approving transgenders to participate.
And the NCAA didn't have much of a choice, but to follow suit, if they wanted their athletes to be able to participate in the World Olympics.
And, we aren't even talking about that many athletes in the LGBTQ category anyway. In the Japan Olympics both Summer and Winter there were 121 overall athletes that were of LGBTQ status, and most of them were lesbians and gay dudes- not TRANNIES!
And there were more women than men in the Trans-sexual category. You must not have watched the Men's weightlifter competition- or the skateboarding and snowboarding competitions.
But, here is the deal, there are so few of transsexuals competing, that there is no fair way to have two new categories for transsexuals- like one for male transsexuals and another for female transsexuals because they would often times be competing with only themselves. What do you do, give them a medal for merely competing with themselves? And I suppose if there were only three in one event, one would get a Gold, another a Silver- and then a Bronze too?
Democrats and Republicans alike would have never voted for men to be allowed to compete in Women's sports, BUT I DO BELIEVE EVEN YOURSELF WANTS NCAA athletes to be able to compete in the Olympics. And the transsexuals would like to have their own category, but the Olympic Committee, so far, is not having it.
So these are the rules- if you want to play!
But blame those who approved this- and not Democrats- because Democrats didn't have anything to do with the decisions by the World Olympic Committee or the NCAA's decision to allow it- anymore than Republicans did!

There are already TWO categories they can compete in. They can compete with others that are the same biological sex as they are like Catlyn Jenner did years ago. It worked out GREAT!

Cheating is oversimplification. There are flawed parameters in place, and the athletes who are now unfairly dominating women's sports are simply following said parameters.
With time, those parameters will be fine tuned. As seen by some of the positions taken here, we tend to trip all over ourselves trying not to offend the trans community with respect to sports, due to the unfair social pressures (and now actual restrictive Red state laws) suffered by the community. I have to imagine that growing up knowing that you simply don't fit into your own body is very emotionally taxing. These individuals suffer depression and fear on a daily basis.
I cannot, however, understand the psychological issues that would cause a man who cannot compete against other men to feel relief by dominating women?
I don't have any problem playing pretend with these men as they suddenly decide that they are now women. I did it with a now deceased friend. We play pretend with children as a normal part of their development. It doesn't harm us if they get psychological relief by switching gender, even if it's only semantics.
It DOES harm girls and women who are denied their rights because we are still too busy tripping all over ourselves.
That is changing for the better. These issues suddenly appear in society and take years to sort out. It took many years for girls to compete in boys sports in school. There are rare occasions where either girls are good enough, or there simply aren't sports programs for girls in the school.
I had a 12 year old girl on my boys basketball team and she was just as good as most of the boys.
Instead of being forced to undergo dangerous hormone treatment to comply with fair practices in sports, these men should simply compete against men if they are athletes. Seems pretty simple to me. Using performance enhancing drugs is outlawed in competitive sports at all levels.
What could be more of an unfair advantage than men competing against women?
We have to stop conflating social rights of trans girls with fairness in sports. The two ARE mutually exclusive.
