Can someone explain the Bud Light boycott to me?

They got away from music and got into politics. Your side just assaulted Riley Gaines for not wanting to compete against biological males in women's sports. .

Ted Nugent got into politics, have you boycotted him?

Your side just threw two Dems out of the TN House for using their right to free speech.

So a bunch of has beens are trying to attack the only beer they like to try to regain fame?

People under the age of 40 have no idea who Kid Rock is. It has been decades since he had a solo hit. They think he might be Chris Rock's son. Now Chris Rock has a current career.

Not only has it been decades since Tritt has had a hit, he has never had a hit with college educated people. I doubt anyone under the age of 50 knows who he is, and depending on your neighborhood, many people over 50 have no idea who he is.

I did discover he believes he has been haunted by a Black ghost... and so hates Black people.

Nice combination of insults and ad hominem. However, you totally miss the point here. Budweiser is sold to a market segment. That market segment, for the most part, clearly does not have a favorable view of the whole LGBTPDQRSTUV thing. They either want no part of it, or they are actively against it. Either way, putting a face of that political movement on their beer cans is going to make them NOT want to continue to buy and use that product. They have choices, and they will go elsewhere with their money.

I don't partake in Budweiser, or Anheuser-Busch, products for that matter, so this whole thing doesn't really affect me. But for those that do, I'm sure many will respond in a negative manner to marketing they disagree with.

That was discussed earlier. If Kid Rock, Tritt and others want to, of course they can just stop drinking the beer.

But why make such a show of it? Why call for boycotts?

In their case, they obviously are part of what I just called "...actively against it." They are sufficiently anti-LGBTPDQRSTUVWX that they are vocal in their opposition and want others of like mind to join them.

I mean, you basically just ignored everything I said & asked, and repeated what you said before.

The bathroom & sports issues are real debates, and legitimate. But that's very separate from transgenders just being transgenders, and one having their posts sponsored by a beer company. That individual was just promoting the beer - not any of the issues around bathrooms & sports.

Personally I don't get the bathroom controversy. Are they saying if a transgender goes into a women's bathroom it's for the sole purpose of accosting them? It's not only slamming someone for their gender ID but also accusing them of criminal intent.

I've been in women's bathrooms my entire life and never once stared at the others and wondered about their gender. Some weird stuff must go on in men's bathrooms.

Well, I'm definitely free to call that bigoted, intolerant and hateful, then.

To a degree, I completely agree with that. But remember, A society that stands for anything, stands for nothing. My view on this is that the whole LGBTPDQRSTUV thing should be accepted and tolerated but it shouldn't be celebrated. I also think that the whole trans movement is self-destructive, and something that should not be encouraged in the least.

We have some common ground here. I think tolerance & acceptance - at least w/ the majority of Americans - would be a huge step for transgenders.

I wish there was no such thing as "transgender." To me, it means that someone was born into a body that they feel strongly is the wrong gender for them, and I wish that didn't happen. It's something I can't imagine - that would be a very difficult challenge. But that challenge is really compounded by the hate they receive, just for trying to figure their lives out & live in what they see as their truth.

My point is we should not indulge their fantasies. Their suicide rate is somewhere between 40 and 50%. That cannot be explained by "intolerance" or treatment. That it still remains that way today even where supposed tolerance of transgender is high shows the same thing. There is something else wrong causing that. They need help psychiatrically and desperately, not indulgence. Cosmetic surgery, drugs, and genital mutilation won't fix their issues.

Thanks but no thanks Wally,

iu

I see no red cups in that picture. Are you sure it is a red cup party?

Worth noting, that Animal House was set in the 1962, and the red cup was invented in the 1970's, so...

Well, we have disagreed on that previously, and that won't change.

Especially among young people. A recent study showed that almost half of the transgender population are routinely bullied. Bullying is a leading cause of suicide.

It's just scientific. If transgenders were more widely accepted, less ostracized, and not hated just for who they are, the suicide rates would decrease, and likely in a dramatic way.

A impoverished and dying market segment that insists that you are not allowed to sell to other market segments... I can not blame Budweiser for being willing to risk losing them.

Imagine if they lost every customer that was willing to buy a Kid Rock concert ticket... That would be like three customers, with only one having a job.

I don't partake in Budweiser, or Anheuser-Busch, products for that matter, so this whole thing doesn't really affect me.

And your opinion does not effect them.

Legion says "Oooooh".

Is that what you dream about at night, Legion?

FWIW, as a behaviorist, I've noticed a strong tendency towards homoeroticism in your posts.

I know you are probably too old of a geezer to get an erection, but is the vision of hot, sweaty men what keeps you alive?

Does it give you a tingling in your loins?

Well, marketing to 2% or less of the population doesn't make much sense whatsoever because that's the LGBTPDQRSTUVWXYZ community.

Agreed, but unlike you, Terry ex-Navy, I think American businesses should have a choice in their marketing.

OTOH, watching 99% of the Trumper population shit their Depends over 2% of the population is hilarious.

No, this all started in the girls bathroom and girls sports. It is dishonest to claim it is separate from those issues.

Why should anyone or any beer company care what this female impersonator thinks anyway?

Obviously, the Corporation is promoting and using the transgender hoax as a marketing tool to young leftists.

No one is saying they can't live their sexual fantasy. No one opposed female impersonators or drag queens before they demanded everyone else pretend their fantasies are real, ... and they started targeting, recruiting and grooming young children.

You NEVER use the adjacent urinal unless absolutely necessary. ALWAYS leave space!
