Fascists in Tennessee

Oh look!! Stalinists misusing the word "Fascism" again.

Please explain how using the democratic process, as did the Tennessee legislature, = "fascism".

MLK was not a Republican. I went through this back when Legion was still posting and absolutely schooled him on the subject.

From the National Black Republican Association Newsletter by Dr. Alveda C. King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., in “A Covenant with Life: Reclaiming MLK’s Legacy”: Dr. King states, “My grandfather, Dr. Martin Luther King, or ‘Daddy King,’ was a Republican and father of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who was also a Republican. It should be no surprise that Dr. King was a Republican. Why? It was the Democrats who Dr. King was fighting and he would not have joined the Democrat Party.

Guess its OK if every State Rep takes a bull horn and screams on the floor

Well, when the RACIST ASSHOLES deliberately turned their Mic off so that they couldn't be heard, the Tennessee 3 used Bull Horns.

The chamber was on break anyway.

So you are scared of Bullhorns? FUCK YOU PUSSY!

The school Kids are scared they are going to be shot and killed for just going to school!

It's not about you being a PUSSY and crying about Bullhorns- It's about CHILDREN'S LIVES!

They are tired of dying so that you GUNTARDS CAN HAVE WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION- WHILE IGNORING MASS DEATHS OF SCHOOL CHILDREN EVERYDAY!

NEXT!

I am a Texan. But I go to Nashville several times a year.

And the people I know there, think along the same lines of thought as I do!

Texan? Where were you before you moved to Austin? Some deep blue shithole.

I know quite a few people in Nashville - my sister lives there. None of those people are inner-city Marxist/Fascist whackjobs.

Dude, I know every musician in Nashville! And we are all friends- AND WE ALL HATE GUN VIOLENCE AND THE SLAUGHTER OF CHILDREN IN SCHOOLS.

And MY FRIENDS are nothing like you RACISTS AND ASSHOLES THAT ARE WATCHING CHILDREN BE KILLED WHILE CONTRIBUTING TO THEIR DEATHS!

We are all into the CMA- not the NRA!

So they interupted a government proceeding. They should be in jail.

The protestors at the J6 Reichstag Fire weren't thrown in the gulag for interrupting a government proceeding. They were imprisoned for supporting Donald Trump.

These rioters don't support Donald Trump - so they will be praised by Reich members.

Hate politics. It’s always been around, but Trump was able to harness it, weaponize it, normalize it and take it to the next level.

I haven’t followed this case much and don’t know the exact behavior that precipitated the expulsion of two and not of the third. That doesn’t really matter too much to me.

A couple of things, however, are apparent.

To try to compare this protest to that of the January 6 insurrection is profound partisan bullshittery. There was an interruption of the process, for sure. We see that daily, from school board meetings to city council meetings, on and on. Nothing new there. Certainly, not the violent attempt to overthrow a presidential election.

Civil disobedience is a fine thing, IF one is clear about the consequences of such and willing to accept those consequences. Otherwise, one is nothing more than an attention getting whiner.

Now, if these legislators were clear on the rules of conduct for their chamber and willingly violated them for that cause, so be it. I suspect there was more at play here, since it was strictly along party lines. More about “get even” hate politics. You know. The thing that Trump normalized.
