Jill Biden and Women's Hoops

As I said, haven’t seen it anywhere prior to you portraying it as a big story

Did you click on the link? I mean, if by big do mean its going to knock Trump off the front page then no. But in the sports world the game, the trash talk and now the invite (and the racial components behind all of it) are making national news. That's big.

Boston is my least favorite City in America. I hate it with a passion. (and it has nothing to do with politics) I hate the weather, I hate the accents, I hate the sports teams, I especially hate the fans, the women are not attractive. Yes, it has great history. And yes, it is very neighborhood driven like San Francisco. But I've always hated that City, then I lived there for work for nine months back in 2008 and it just reinforced how much I dislike it.

It's a very parochial City and was just not my cup of tea in the least.

Wait a minute, “the weather?” Wasn’t it Mark Twain or someone who said “the coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco?”
You are confusing not being a four season guy with bad weather, no where in America is the beauty of the change of seasons seen than in New England and New York.

And not that I really noticed, but how can a city with number of colleges and universities that metro Boston has not have attractive women? You just hated the City cause it is in a section of the country completely foreign to you

Never said the trash talking wasn’t big in the sports world, rather that Jill Biden inviting Iowa was a big story cause of race

There has always been BAD LOSERS- as we've always seen them show up in Sporting Events from time to time- and I didn't see any here after this game.

I think what is also obviously true, there are also BAD WINNERS- and we all saw one show up and make that obvious to everyone who saw the ending of this game.

But, I will certainly not hold Jill Biden responsible for the misbehavior of one person after the game.

And anyone else who does, is totally in the wrong!

Next!

Jill Biden didn’t invite Iowa anywhere, when asked by a reporter post game, she said she hoped both teams would be invited, and that was it

And an invitation has been sent to LSU, which they accepted, and no invitation was extended to Iowa

As I said, much to do about nothing

The folks on the radio were talking about it this morning (it was during a sort of political segment they do about things black people need to keep their eye on) and it plays into the narrative about how the media and America views the Caitlyn Clark and Angel story.

You can’t view this from a strictly partisan political perspective (like oh those Republicans are trying to score points off Jill Biden). The black folks talking about it are NOT Republicans. You have to look at it from a black persons perspective and how they view America. You don’t have to agree with them not liking this but you should understand their reasoning.

I do not understand your outrage - it went from a debate over if this is even a story to if it is even an invite? The OP was factual, Jill suggested that she will tell Joe to invite the loser

Jill Biden is pandering - politicians do that. She wants to please both LSU and Iowa fans but did not realize that is not possible. By pandering to Iowa, she is upsetting LSU fans and possibly even some black racists that claim post game taunts are exactly equal to in game taunts

I arrived in January (the weekend of the first Patriots-Giants SB) and was absolutely miserable. It was miserable for months, then got very nice for like a month or so then became blazing hot. San Francisco doesn't get hot, which is quite ok with me, but it's pretty consistent year round.

You would think a City with so many colleges would have more attractive women but not Boston. (I was in my 30's during this time so I wasn't looking for women on college campuses but nonetheless you obviously see them around town.) I enjoy New York City so it's not a strictly anti-East Coast thing. It's an anti-Boston thing.

Not outraged, just clearing up the confusion

"Jill suggested," she was asked the question post game by a reporter and she "suggested" in her enthusiasm that both teams be invited, and that is that, nothing to see here, and LSU actually being invited had little to do with the bogus issue some are attempting to create here.

Ah, no, you put your whole narrative together from something you heard on the radio I assume today and a tweet from a college kid

I agree, some irresponsible Sports commentator tried to start a politically motivated and racist Brush Fire, and cawacko is either rationalizing it because he is unable to reason, or is deliberately rationalizing it for political posturing reasons!

Why people want to fan the flames of brush fires like this is irresponsible and a disgrace.

But, I am never going to let one bad sport, or bad apple, or even one bad Sports commentator, OR JPP contributor drag me down to their level!

ra·tion·al·ize
verb
1. Attempt to explain or justify (one's own or another's behavior or attitude) with logical, plausible reasons, even if these are not true or appropriate.

Rationalizing bad behavior is why our country is so fucked up now!

Everybody likes NYC, the energy alone is unmatched

I've been in SF in May, and it was freezing, and as I noted, you aren't a four season guy, you didn't grow up appreciating nature's miracle makeover four times a year. Living in a one weather area would bore the hell out of me, need diversity

And what is an attractive women is in the eye of the beholder, even the Beatles found them in the USSR in mocking California's image of women. Truth be known you probably just couldn't find a girl to hook up with

I guess Fox forgot to tell you that nearly no one was invited to the White House in 2021 early 2022 due to Covid restrictions, and this year’s team has already been invited
What happens when you follow Fox

I guess no one told you that Biden had to hurry and invite them when he realized people thought he was a fuckwit.....that's what happens when you don't listen to Fox.....

No individual speaks for any one group but the gentleman I heard today is a national correspondent with a large following so his words carry weight. I'm repeating what he said. That's not me creating a narrative. This story will go away in a few days but it's been dominating sports talk and the White House came out today and walked back Biden's invitation to Iowa.

As far as the college kids you mean the star (black) players for LSU? The ones who played and won the national championship? Should they just shut up and be silent? That has a very Laura Ingrahm Fox News type feel of shut up and dribble, just from a liberal perspective.
