School superintendent candidate says job offer was rescinded after calling two female

The curriculum of a school is not brain surgery.

It is the teaching of perversion and racial hatred that parents are upset about.

Except noone is teaching perversion or racial hatred until the fucking ignorant right has a say in it.

Huge waves reaching to the courtroom.

Go in front a judge, and scream, "I am entitled to a job paying $165k, even though I turned it down", and see where it gets you. At best, the judge will just dismiss the case.

He was negotiating the job conditions, Walter.

He was denied the job because he called “ladies” ladies.

Poor Walter.

Walter, read tge thread title… School superintendent candidate says job offer was rescinded after calling two female
An incoming Massachusetts school superintendent revealed that his job offer was rescinded prior to his start date after he addressed two women on the school’s committee as "ladies" in an email.

The thread title was written to capture fucking imbeciles like you. It is obvious to anyone but the ignorant right why the offer was rescinded and it had nothing to do with his addressing the ladies as ladies.

Take a hike, pendejo/a.

I bet he gets a job eventually...but the job that he wants is the job that they offered him... so I hope he goes after that one...

I will take that bet. Death threats are being made against the families of the people who would have to hire him. There is no way they will ever offer him a job. Not just that, no one in their right mind will ever offer him an interview after this disaster.

Hiring someone is putting together a team. If a candidate is trying to make a lot of trouble to get hired, there is no way you would ever hire them. They are bad for the team. At least with a customer making trouble, you can service them, and they will go away. Sometimes, servicing them is the best option. Employing a trouble maker is never the best option.

How are you not seeing this?

if they didn't think he was qualified they should have done their homework before they offered it to him.

Actually, most employers will read that article and start thinking being alt right is a red flag. If negotiations go badly, an alt right candidate will have death threats made against your family. It just is not worth it.

Those are some huge waves...

There is a budget. If he wants more money, either someone has to get less money, or the budget has to be increased. Increasing the budget means going to the politicians and getting them to agree. So the hiring committee has to go to politicians(their bosses) and get an emergency, urgent budget change... That is not easy to do.

Oh I need to see that death threat link...TIA

A “microaggression” was big enough to cost one superintendent candidate his dream job, he says.

Vito Perrone said he’s “shocked” and “devastated” after the Easthampton School Committee pulled back its offer for him to lead the district because he used the term “ladies” in an email to the committee chair.

Perrone said he was all excited to become the superintendent of Easthampton Public Schools, but the rug was pulled out from under him after his email to School Committee Chairperson Cynthia Kwiecinski and the School Committee assistant.

Calling “ladies” ladies is “making a lot of trouble”?

Society does not owe him a job paying $165k a year. He was offered a job, decided he was "owed" more than $151k, and lost the job offer. It happens. "Demanding" that the job is "owed" to him will just make sure no one ever offers him a job again.
If you follow the real link, you'll see that:

He demanded 40 sick days and 4 extra vacation days (not sure what that total is?) in his first year.

Additional 18 sick days/year for each of the next two years.

In his final year, he would have 10 days off/month.

So you agree that the job offer should have been withdrawn because he referred to the gals as ladies? They offered him the the job... obviously because they thought he was qualified which he is... from the sounds of it he's absolutely the right person for this position ...Why doesn't he have a right to negotiate the pay and the benefits? And that certainly shouldn't disqualify him from the position... I hope he goes after them...
He did have the right. And he demanded part time hours for full time pay.

Non starter.

He was negotiating the job conditions, Walter.

He turned down the offer, and made a counter offer. They turned down the counter offer, and did not make a counter offer. It happens all the time. There is no law that says they have to make him a counter offer.

Seriously, have you ever negotiated anything?

They offered him the position....he was obviously the best man for the job... I don't think Walt is paying attention...
It was a close vote originally, and a no brainer when he demanded part time hours.

It was already a job where he would barely work during the Summer. They were smart not to make a counter offer. It does not sound like he ever planned to show up to work.

They picked someone else because they felt that other person would be a better fit. The other person wasn't asking for 40 days sick time and 4 extra vacation days the first year and automatic 3% pay increases thereafter. It had nothing to do with him addressing the women as "ladies" but FOX knows they will get a bunch of ignorant shitheads like you to buy it.
You simply HAVE to love the additional 18 sick days/year extra in year two, and another 18 extra in year 3. 76 sick days extra, on top of the standard sick/vacation days.

Not a bad gig at all.
